14:1 HIt fortuned in iconium that they wēt both to gedder in to the Sinagoge of the iewes/ and so spake/ that a gret multitude both off the iewes and also off the grekſ beleved. ANd it fortuned in Iconium that they went both to gether into the synagoge of ye Iewes/ & so spake/ that a gret multitude both of ye Iewes & also of the Grekes beleved. ANd it fortuned in Iconium that they went both to gether into the synagoge of the Iewes/ & so spake/ that a gret multitude both of the Iewes and also of the Grekes beleued. IT fortuned at Iconium, that they wēte both together in to the synagoge of the Iewes, and spake so, that a greate multitude of the Iewes & of the Grekes beleued.
14:2 Butt the vnbelevinge iewes/ steryd vppe and vnquyeted the myndes off the gentylſ agaynste the brethren. But the vnbelevinge Iewes/ steryd vp & vnquyeted the myndes of the Gentyls agaynste the brethrē. But the vnbeleuinge Iewes/ steryd vp & onquieted the myndes of the Gentyls agaynste the brethren. But the vnbeleuynge Iewes moued and disquyeted the soules of the Heythē agaynst the brethrē.
14:3 Longe time a bode they their ād quit thē selves boldly with the helpe of the lorde/ the which gave testimony vnto the worde off hys grace/ And causyd signes and wonders to be done by their hondes. Longe tyme a bode they there & quyt them selves boldly with the helpe of the Lorde/ the which gave testimony vnto ye worde of his grace/ & caused signes and wondres to be done by their hondes. So they had their beynge there a lōge season, and quyte them selues boldly in the LORDE, which gaue testimony vnto the worde of his grace, and caused tokens and wonders to be done by their handes.
14:4 The people off the cite were devided: and parte helde with the iewes/ and parte wyth the apostles. The people of the cyte were devided: & parte helde with the Iewes/ & parte with the Apostles. 14:6 they wer ware of it/ and fled vnto listra and derba/ cites off Licaonia/ ād vnto the region that lyeth rounde aboute/ they were ware of it/ & fled vnto Listra & Derba/ cities of Licaonia/ & vnto the region that lyeth round aboute/ they were ware of it/ & fled vnto Lystra & Derba/ cities of Lycaonia/ and vnto the region that lyeth round aboute/ they perceaued it, and fled vnto lystra and Derba cities of ye countre of Licaonia, and vnto ye region that lyeth rounde aboute,
14:7 ād there preached the gospell. and there preached the gospell. & there preached the Gospell. and there they preached the Gospell.
14:8 And there sate a certayne man at listra weake in his fete/ beinge halt from his mothers woombe/ and never walkyd. And ther sate a certayne man at Listra weake in his fete/ beinge creple from his mothers wombe/ and never walkyd. And ther sate a certayne man at Lystra weake in his fete/ beinge creple from his mothers wombe/ and neuer walkyd. And amonge them of Lystra, there was a man, which sat beynge impotent of his fete, and was crepell frō his mothers wombe, and had neuer walked,
14:9 The same herde Paul preache/ which behelde hym and perceaved that he had faith to be whole/ The same hearde Paul preache. Which behelde him and perceaved that he had fayth to be whole/ The same hearde Paul preache. Which behelde him and perceaved that he had fayth to be whole/ the same herde Paul speake. And whan he behelde him, and perceaued that he had faith to be made whole,
14:10 and sayd with a loude voyce: stond vppe right on thy fete. And he stert vppe/ ād walked. and sayd with a loude voyce: stond vp right on thy fete. 14:11 whē the people sawe what Paul had done/ they lifte vp their voyces/ sayīge ī the speache of Lycaonia: Goddes ar come doune to vs in the lyknes off men. 14:12 And they called Barnabas/ Iupiter/ And Paul Mercurius/ be cause he was the preacher. And they called Barnabas Iupiter/ & Paul Mercurius/ because he was the preacher. And they called Barnabas Iupiter/ and Paul Mercurius/ because he was the preacher. And they called Barnabas Iupiter, and Paul Mercurius, because he was the preacher.
14:13 Thē Iupiters preste/ which dwelt before their cite/ brought oxen ād garlondſ vnto the churche porche/ and wolde have done sacrifise with the people. Then Iupiters Preste/ which dwelt before their cite/ brought oxē & garlondes vnto the churche porche/ and wolde have done sacrifise with the people. 14:15 and sayinge: syrs/ why do ye this? We are men lyke vnto you/ and preache vnto you/ that ye shulde turne from these vanities vnto the lyvynge god/ which made hevē ād erth and the see and all that ī them is/ & sayinge: syrs/ why do ye this? We are mortall men lyke vnto you/ & preache vnto you/ that ye shuld turne from these vanyties vnto ye lyvinge God/ which made heaven & erth & the see & all that in them is: syrs/ why do ye this? We are mortall men lyke vnto you/ and preache vnto you/ that ye shuld turne from these vanyties vnto the lyuinge God/ which made heauen and erth and the see and all that in them is: and sayenge: Ye mē, Why do ye this? We are mortall mē also like vnto you, & preach vnto you ye Gospell, that ye shulde turne from these vayne thinges vnto ye lyuynge God, which made heauē and earth, and the see, and all that therin is,
14:16 the which in times past suffred all nacions to walke ī their owne wayes. the which in tymes past suffred all nacions to walke in their awne wayes. the which in tymes past suffred all nacions to walke in their awne wayes. which in tymes past suffred all ye Heythen to walke after their awne wayes.
14:17 Neverthelesse he lefte not hym silfe with outē witnes/ in that he shewed his benefaictes/ in gevynge vs rayne from hevē ād frutfull ceasons/ fyllinge oure hertſ with fode and gladnes. Neverthelesse he lefte not him selfe with outen witnes/ in that he shewed his benefites/ in gevinge vs rayne from heaven & frutefull ceasons/ fyllinge oure hertes with fode and gladnes. Neuerthelesse he lefte not him selfe with oute witnes/ in that he shewed his benefites/ in geuynge vs rayne from heauen and frutefull ceasons/ fyllinge oure hertes with fode & gladnes. Neuertheles he hath not left hī selfe without wytnesse, in yt he hath shewed his benefites, and geuen vs rayne from heauen, and frutefull seasons, fyllynge oure hertes with fode and gladnesse.
14:18 And with these sayingſ/ scase refrayned they the people/ thatt they had not done sacrifice vnto them. And with these sayinges/ scase refrayned they the people/ that they had not done sacrifice vnto them. And with these sayinges/ scase refrayned they the people/ that they had not done sacrifice vnto them. And whan they sayde this, they scarse refrayned the people, that they dyd not sacrifice vnto them.
14:19 Thether cam certayne iewes from Antioch and Iconiū/ and optayned the peoples consent and stoned Paul/ ād drew hym oute of the cite/ supposynge he had bene deed. Thither came certayne Iewes frō Antioche and Iconium/ and optayned the peoples consent and stoned Paul/ and drewe him oute of the cyte/ supposynge he had bene deed. Thyther came certayne Iewes from Antioche and Iconium/ and optayned the peoples cōsent/ and stoned Paul/ and drewe him oute of the cite/ supposynge he had bene deed. But there came thither certayne Iewes from Antioche and Iconiū, and persuaded the people, and stoned Paul, and drue him out of the cite, supposinge he had bene deed.
14:20 As the disciples stode rounde aboute hym/ he arose vppe and cā into the cite. And the nexte daye departed with Barnabas to Derba. How be it as the disciples stode rounde about him/ he arose vp & cam into the cyte. And the nexte daye he departed with Barnabas to Derba. How be it as the disciples stode rounde about him he arose vp and came into the cite. And the nexte daye he departed with Barnabas to Derba. 14:21 After they had preached to that cite/ ād taught many/ they returned agayne to Listra/ ād to Iconium and Antioche/ After they had preached to that cite & had taught many/ they returned agayne to Listra/ and to Iconium and Antioche/ After they had preached to that cite/ and had taught many/ they returned agayne to Lystra/ and to Iconium and Antioche/ and preached the Gospell vnto the same cite, and taughte many of them. 14:22 ād strengthed the disciples soules/ exhortinge them to continue ī the faith/ affyrmīge that we muste throwe moche adversite entre into the kyngdom of god. & strengthed the disciples soules/ exhortinge them to continue in the faith/ affyrminge yt we must thorowe moche tribulacion entre into the kyngdome of God. and strengthed the disciples soules/ exhortynge them to contynue in the fayth/ affirmynge that we must thorowe moche tribulacion/ entre into the kyngdome of God. strengthinge the soules of ye disciples, and exortinge thē to cōtynue in the faith: and that we thorow moch tribulacion must entre in to the kyngdome of God.
14:23 And when they had ordened them seniours by eleccion in every cōgregacion/ after they had prayde ād fasted/ they comended them to god on whom they beleved. And when they had ordened them elders by eleccion in every congregaciō/ after they had yrayde & fasted/ they comended them to God on whom they beleved. And they ordened them elders by eleccion in euery congregacion/ and prayde and fasted/ and comended them to God on whom they beleued. And whā they had ordeyned them Elders by eleccion thorow all the congregacions, they prayed and fasted, and cōmended them vnto the LORDE, on whom they beleued.
14:24 And they went over all Pisidia and cam into pāphilia/ And they went thorow out Pisidia & came into Pāphilia/ And they went thorow out Pisidia and came to Pamphilia/ And they wente thorow Pisidia, and came to Pamphilia,
14:25 and when they had preached the worde of god in perga/ they descended in to Attalia/ & when they had preached the worde of God in Perga/ they descended in to Attalia/ and when they had preached the worde of God in Perga/ they descended in to Attalia/ and spake the worde at Perga, and wēte downe to Attalia,
14:26 and thence departed by shippe to Antioche/ frō whēce they wer delyvered vnto the grace af god/ to the worke whiche they had fulfilled. & thence departed by shippe to Antioche/ frō whence they were delivered vnto the grace of God/ to the worke which they had fulfilled. & thence departed by shippe to Antioche/ from whence they were deliuered vnto the grace of God/ to the worke which they had fulfilled. and frō thence departed they by shippe vnto Antioche: from whence they were delyuered to the grace of God vnto ye worke, which they had fulfylled.
14:27 When they wer come and had gaddered the congregaciō to gedder/ they reharsed all that god had done by them/ and howe he had opened the dore of faith vnto the gentyls.
