9:1 ANd the fyfte angell blewe/ and I sawe a starre fall from heven vnto the erth. 9:2 And he opened the botomlesse pytt/ and there arose the smoke of a grett fornace. And the sunne/ ād the ayer wer darkned by the reason of the smoke of the pytt. 9:3 And there cam out off the smoke locustes vpon the erth: And vnto thē was geven power as the scorpions of the erth have power. And there cam out of the smoke locustes vpō the erth: and vnto them was gevē power as the scorpions of the erth have power. And thrre came out of the smoke locustes vpon the erth: & vnto them was geuen power as the scorpions of the erth haue power. And there came out of the smoke locustes vpon the earth: and vnto thē was geuen power as the scorpions of the earth haue power.
9:4 And hit was sayde vnto them thatt they shulde nott hurt the grasse off the erth: nether eny grene thinge: nether eny tree: but only those men which have nott the seale in their forhedſ/ And it hurt ye grasse of the erth: nether eny grene thinge: nether eny tree: but only those mē which have not ye seale in their forhedſ/ And it was cōmaunded them/ that they shuld not hurt the grasse of the erth: nether eny grene thinge: nether eny tree: but only those men which haue not the seale in their forhedes. And it was sayde vnto them, that they shulde not hurt the grasse of the earth: nether eny grene thinge: nether eny tre: but onely those men which haue not the seale in their forhedes,
9:5 and to them was cōmaūded that they shulde not kyll thē/ but that they shulde be vexed v monethes/ and their payne was as the payne that cōmeth off a scorpion/ when he hath stonge a man. & to thē was cōmaunded yt they shulde not kyll thē/ but yt they shulde be vexed v monethes/ & their payne was as the payne yt cōmeth of a scorpion/ whē he hath stōge a mā. And to thē was cōmaunded that they shulde not kyll thē/ but that they shulde be vexed .v. monethes/ and their payne was as the payne that commeth of a scorpion/ when he hath stonge a man. and to them was cōmaunded, that they shulde not kyll thē, but that they shulde be vexed fyue monethes, and their payne was as the payne that cōmeth of a scorpion, when he hath stonge a man.
9:6 And in those dayes shall men seke deeth/ and shall nott fynde hyt/ shall desyre to deye/ and deeth shall flye frō them. And in those dayes shall men seke deeth/ & shall not fynde it/ and shall desyre to dye/ & deeth shall flye frō thē. And in those dayes shall men seke deeth/ & shall not fynde it/ & shall desyre to dye/ and deeth shall flye from them. And in those dayes shal mē seke deeth, and shal not fynde it: and shal desyre to dye, and death shal flye from them.
9:7 And the similitude off the locustes was lyke vnto horses prepared vnto battayll/ and on their heddes were as hit were crownes/ lyke vnto golde. ād their faces were as hit had bene the faces of men. 9:15 And the iiij. angellſ were loosed which wer prepared for an houre/ for a daye/ for a moneth/ and for a yeare/ for to slee the thyrde part off men. And the iiii. angelles were loosed which wer prepared for an houre/ for a daye/ for a moneth/ and for a yeare/ for to slee the thyrde part of mē. 9:16 And the nombre of horsmē of warre/ were twenty tymes x M And I herde the nombre of them. And the nombre of horsmē of warre/ were twenty tymes xM. And I herde the nōbre of them. 9:17 And thus I sawe the horses in a vision and them that sate on them/ havynge fyry habbergions of a Iacynct coloure/ and brymstony. and the heeddes of the horses were as the heeddes of lyons. And out of their mouthes went forth fyre and smoke ād brymstone. 9:18 And of these iij/ was the thyrde parte of men kylled/ that is to saye/ of fyre/ smoke/ ād brymstone/ which proceded out of the mouthes of them: And of these iii. was the thyrde parte of men kylled: that is to saye/ of fyre/ smoke/ and brymstone/ which proceded out of the mouthes of them: And of these .iij. was the .iij. part of men kylled: that is to saye/ of fyre/ smoke/ & brymstone/ which proceded out of the mouthes of them: And of these thre was the thirde parte of men kylled: that is to saye, of fyre, smoke, and brymstone, which proceded out of the mouthes of thē:
9:19 For their power was in their mouthes and in their tayles: for their tayles were lyke vnto serpentſ/ and had heddes/ and with thē they dyd hurtt: For their power was in their mouthes and in their tayles: for their tayles were lyke vnto serpētes/ and had heedes/ and with them they dyd hurt: For their power was in their mouthes & in their tayles: for their tayles were lyke vnto serpētes/ & had heedes/ & with thē they dyd hurt: For their power was in their mouthes and in their tayles: for their tayles were like vnto serpētes, and had heades, and with thē they dyd hurt:
9:20 And the remnaunt off the men which were not kylled by these plagſ repēted not of the dedes of their hondes/ that they shulde not worshyppe devyls/ and ymages/ off golde/ and sylver/ and brasse/ and stone/ and of woode/ which nether cā se/ nether heare/ nether goo. And the remnaunt of the mē which were not kylled by these plages/ repented not of the dedes of their hondes that they shulde not worshyppe devyls/ and ymages of golde/ and sylver/ and brasse/ and stone/ and of wood/ which nether can se/ nether heare/ nether goo. 9:21 Also they repented not of their murther/ ād of their sorcery nether of their fornicaciō nether of their thefte.
