4:1 THē was Iesus ledd awaye of the spirite in to a desert/ to be tempted of the devyll. THen was Iesus ledd awaye of ye spirite into wildernes/ to be tempted of ye devyll. THen was Iesus led awaye of the spirite into wildernes/ to be tēpted of the deuyll. THen was Iesus ledd awaye of the spirite in to wildernes, to be tempted of the deuyll.
4:2 And when he had fasted fourtye days and fourtye nyghtes/ att the last he was anhungred. And when he had fasted fourtye dayes and fourtye nightes/ he was afterward an hungred. And when he had fasted fourty dayes & fourty nightes/ he was afterward an hungred. And when he had fasted fourtye dayes and fourtye nightes, he was afterward an hungred.
4:3 Then came vntyll hym the tempter/ and sayde: yff thou be the sonne of god/ commāde that these stones be made bred. Then came to hym the tempter/ and sayde: yf thou be the sonne of God/ commaunde that these stones be made breed. Then came to him the tēpter/ & sayde: yf thou be the sonne of God/ commaunde that these stones be made breed. And the tēpter came to him and sayde: yf thou be the sonne of God, commaunde, that these stones be made breed.
4:4 He answered and sayde: yt is wrytten/ man shall nott live only by breede/ But by every worde that proceadeth out off the mouth off god. 4:6 and sayd vnto hym: yf thou be the sonne of god/ cast thy sylfe doune. For hit ys wrytten/ he shall geve his angels charge over the/ ād with there hādes they shall stey the vpp/ that thou dashe not thy fote agaynst a stone. and sayd vnto hym: yf thou be the sonne of God/ cast thy sylfe doune. For it is wryttē/ he shall geve his angels charge over the/ and with their handes they shall holde ye vp/ that thou dashe not thy fote agaynst a stone. & sayde vnto him: yf thou be the sonne of God/ cast thy selfe doune. For it is wrytten: he shall geue his angels charge ouer the/ and with their handes they shall holde the vp/ that thou dashe not thy fote agaynst a stone. and sayde vnto hym: yf thou be ye sonne of God, cast thy sylfe downe. 4:7 Iesus sayde to hym/ hit ys wryttē also: thou shalt not tempte thy lorde god. And Iesus sayde to hym/ it ys wrytten also: Thou shalt not tempte thy Lorde God. And Iesus sayde to him/ yt is wrytten also: Thou shalt not tempte thy Lorde God. And Iesus sayde vnto hym: it ys wrytten also: Thou shalt not tempte thy LORDE God.

4:9 and sayde vnto hym: all these will I geve the/ iff thou wilt faull doune and worship me. & sayde to hym: all these will I geue ye/ if thou wilt faull doune & worship me. & sayde to him: all these will I geue the/ yf thou wilt fall doune and worship me. and sayde vnto hym: all these wil I geue the, yf thou wilt fall downe and worship me.
4:10 Thē sayde Iesus vnto hym. Avoyd Satan. For it is written/ Thou shalt worshyp thy Lorde God/ and hym only shalt thou serve. Then sayde Iesus vnto hym. Avoyd Satan. For it is writtē/ thou shalt worshyp ye Lorde thy God/ & hym only shalt thou serve. Then sayde Iesus vnto him: Auoyde Satan. For it is wrytten/ thou shalt worship the Lorde thy God/ & him only shalt thou serue. Then sayde Iesus vnto hym: Auoyde Satā. For it ys wryttē: thou shalt worshyp the LORDE thy God and hym onely shalt thou serue.
4:11 Then the Dyvell left hym/ and lo/ the angels cam and ministred vnto hym. Then the dyvell left hym/ and beholde/ the angels came and ministred vnto hym. Then the deuyll left him/ and beholde/ the angels came and ministred vnto him. Then the deuell left hym, and beholde, the angels came and ministred vnto hym.
4:12 When Iesus had herde that Ihō was takē/ he departed into Galile/ When Iesus had hearde yt Ihon was taken/ he departed into Galile When Iesus had hearde that Iohn was taken/ he departed into Galile When Iesus had herde that Ihon was taken, he departed into Galile

4:16 the people whiche sat in dercknes/ sawe greate lyght: And to them which sate in the region and shadowe of deeth/ lyght is spronge. ye people which sat in darknes/ sawe greate lyght/ and to them which sate in the region and shadowe of deeth/ lyght is begone to shyne. the people which sat in darcknes/ sawe great lyght/ & to them which sate in the region and shadowe of deeth/ lyght is begone to shyne. the people which sat in darknes, sawe a greate lyght, & to them which sat in the region & shadowe of deeth, lyght is begōne to shyne.
4:17 From thatt tyme Iesus began to preache/ ād to say: repēt/ for the kingdōm of hevē is at hōde. From yt tyme Iesus begāne to preache/ & to saye: repēt/ for ye kīgdome of hevē is at hōde From that tyme Iesus begāne to preache/ and to saye: repent/ for the kyngdome of heauen is at honde. From that tyme forth beganne Iesus to preach, and to saye: Amende youre selues, ye kingdome of heauen is at honde.

4:23 And Iesus went aboute all Galile/ teachyng yn their sinagoges/ and preachynge the gospell of the kyogdom̃/ and healinge all mañer of sicknes/ and all mañer dyseases amōge the people. 4:24 And hys ffame spreed abroode through oute all Siria. And they brought vnto hym all sicke people/ that were taken with divers diseases and gripīgſ/ ād thē that were possessed with devils/ and those which were lunatyke/ and those that had the palsey/ And he healed them. 4:25 And there folowed hym a greate nombre off people/ from Galile/ and from the ten cites/ and from Ierusalem/ and from Iury/ ād from the regiōs that lye beyonde Iordan.
