18:1 The same tyme the disciples cam vnto Iesus sayng: who is the greatest in the kyngdom off heven? THe same tyme the disciples came vnto Iesus saying: who is ye greatest in the kyngdome of hevē? THe same tyme the disciples came vnto Iesus saying: who is the greatest in the kyngdome of heuen? AT the same tyme came the disciples vnto Iesus, and sayde: Who is the greatest in the kyngdome of heauen?
18:2 Iesus called a chylde vnto hym/ and set hym in the middes of them/ Iesus called a chylde vnto him/ & set him in the middes of them: Iesus called a chylde vnto him/ and set him in the middes of them: And Iesus called a childe vnto him, and set him in the myddest amonge them,
18:3 and sayd: Verely I say vnto you: except ye tourne/ and become as childrē/ ye cānot ēter into the kyngdom off hevē. & sayd. Verely I say vnto you: except ye tourne/ & become as chyldren/ ye cannot enter into the kyngdom of heven. and sayd: Verely I say vnto you: except ye tourne/ and become as chyldren/ ye cannot enter in to the kyngdom of heuen. and sayde: Verely I saye vnto you: Excepte ye turne and become as children, ye shal not entre into the kyngdome of heauen.
18:4 whosoever therfore shall submit him silfe as this chylde/ he is the greatest ī the kyngdom of heven. Whosoever therfore humble him sylfe as this chylde/ the same is the greatest in ye kyngdome of hevē. Whosoeuer therfore humble him selfe as this chylde/ the same is the greatest in the kyngdome of heuen. Whosoeuer therfore humbleth him self as this childe, ye same is the greatest in ye kyngdome of heauen.
18:5 And whosoever receaveth suche a chylde in my name/ receaveth me. And who soever receaveth suche a chylde in my name/ receaveth me. And whosoeuer receaueth suche a chylde in my name/ receaueth me. And who so receaueth soch a childe in my name, receaueth me.
18:6 But whosoever offend won of these lytellwons/ which beleve in me: yt were better for hym/ that a millstone were hanged aboute his necke/ and that he were drouned in the depth of the see. But whosoever offende one of these lytelons/ which beleve in me: it were better for him/ that a milstone were hanged aboute his necke/ and that he were drouned in the depth of the see. 18:7 Wo be vnto the world because of evill occasions. Hit is necessary that evyll occasions be geven/ neverthelesse woo be to that mā/ by whom evyll occasion cōmeth. Wo be vnto the world because of offences. How be it/ it cannot be avoided but yt offences shalbe geven. Neverthelesse woo be to yt man/ by whō the offence cōmeth. Wo be vnto the world because of offences. How be it/ it cannot be auoyded but that offenses shalbe geuen. Neuerthelesse woo be to the man/ by whom the offence cometh. Wo vnto the worlde because of slaūders. Yee there must slaunders come: but wo vnto that man, by whom slaunder commeth.
18:8 Wherefore yff thy honde or thy fote geve the an occasion of evyll: cut hym of and cast hym frō the. Hit is better for the to enter into lyfe halt or maymed/ rather then thou shuldeste havynge two hondes/ or two fete/ be cast into everlastyng fyre. Wherfore yf thy honde or thy fote offende the/ cut him of and cast him from the. It ys better for the to enter into lyfe halt or maymed/ rather then thou shuldest havinge two hondes or two fete/ be cast into everlasting fyre. 18:9 And yf also thyne eye offende the/ plucke him oute and caste hym from the. It is better for the to enter into lyfe with one eye/ then havyug two eyes to be cast into hell fyre. 18:10 Se that ye despise not won of these litell wons For I saye vnto you/ thatt in heven their angels behold the face of my fader/ which ys ī heven. Se that ye despise not one of these litelons. For I saye vnto you/ yt in heven their angels alwayes behold the face of my father/ which is in heven. Se that ye despise not one of these lytelons. For I saye vnto you/ that in heuē their angels alwayes behold the face of my father/ which is in heuen. Take hede, yt ye despyse not one of these litle ones. For I saye vnto you: their angels do alwaye beholde the face of my father which is in heauen:
18:11 Ye ād the sōne of mā is come to save that which is lost. Ye and the sonne of man is come to saue that which is lost. Ye and the sonne of man is come to saue that which is lost. for the sonne of man is come to saue that which is lost.
18:12 How thinke ye? Yf a mā had an hōdred shepe/ ād one of thē shuld goo astray/ will he not leve nynty ād nyne ī the moūtains/ ād go ād seke that wō which is gone astray? How thinke ye? Yf a man have an hondred shepe/ and one of them be gone astray/ dothe he not leve nynty and nyne in ye moūtains/ and go and seke that one which is gone astray? How thinke ye? If a man haue an hondred shepe/ and one of them begone astray/ dothe he not leue nynty and nyne in the mountayns/ and go and seke that one which is gone astray? How thinke ye? Yf a man haue an hundreth shepe, and one of thē be gone astraye, doth not he leaue the nyentie and nyene in the mountaynes, and goeth, and seketh that one which is gone astraye?
18:13 if it happē that he fynd hī/ veryly I say vnto you: he reioyseth more of that shepe/ then of the nynty ād nyne which wēt not astray. If it happen that he fynd him/ veryly I say vnto you: he reioyseth more of that shepe/ then of the nynty & nyne which went not astray. If it happen that he fynd him/ verely I say vnto you: he reioyseth more of that shepe/ then of the nynty and nyne which went not astray. And yf it happen that he fynde it, verely I saye vnto you: he reioyseth more ouer it, then ouer the nyentie & nyene which wēte not astraye.
18:14 Evē so hit is nott the wyll of youre father in heuen/ that won off this lytell wons shulde perishe. Even so it is not the wyll of youre father in heven/ that one of these lytelons shulde perishe. Euen so it is not the will of youre father in heuen/ that one of these lytelons shulde perisshe. Euen so is it not the will before youre father in heauen, that one of these litle ones shulde perishe.
18:15 Moreover yf thy brother trespas ayenst the. Go and tell hym his faute betwene hym and the alone. Yf he heare the/ thou hast wone thy brother: Moreover yf thy brother treaspace agenst the. 18:16 but yf he heare the not/ then take with the wō or two/ that ī the mouth of two or thre witnesses/ all saīgſ maye stōde. But yf he heare the not/ then take yet with the one or two/ that in the mouth of two or thre witnesses/ all thinges maye be stablisshed. 18:17 Yf he heare not thē/ tell hit vnto the cōgregacion: yf he heare not the congregacion/ take him as an hethen mā/ and as a publican. If he heare not them/ tell it vnto the congregacion. If he heare not ye congregacion/ take him as an hethen man/ & as a publican. If he heare not them/ tell it vnto the congregacion. 18:18 Verely I say vnto you whatsoever ye bynde on erth/ shalbe boūde in hevē. And whatsoever ye lose on erth/ shalbe losed in hevē. Verely I say vnto you/ what soever ye bynde on erth/ shalbe bounde in heven. And what soever ye lowse on erth/ shalbe lowsed in heven. Verely I say vnto you/ what soeuer ye bynde on erth/ shalbe bounde in heuen. And what soever ye lowse on erth/ shalbe lowsed in heuen. Verely I saye vnto you: what soeuer ye shal bynde vpon earth, shalbe boūde also in heauen: & what soeuer ye lowse vpon earth, shalbe lowsed also in heauē.
18:19 Agayn I say vnto you that if two off you shall agre in erth in eny maner thinge whatsoever they shall desyre: hit shalbe gevē them of my fader which is in heven. Agayn I say vnto you/ that yf two of you shall agre in erth apon eny maner thynge/ what soever they shall desyre: it shalbe geven them of my father which is in heven. Agayn I say vnto you/ that yf two of you shall agre in erth apon eny maner thinge/ what soeuer they shall desyre: it shalbe geuen them of my father which is in heuen. Agayne, I saye vnto you: Yf two of you shal agree vpon earth (for what thinge soeuer it be yt they wolde desyre) they shal haue it of my father which is in heauē.
18:20 For where two or thre are gadered togedder in my name/ there am I in the myddſ off them. For where two or thre are gathered togedder in my name/ there am I in the myddes of them. For where two or thre are gathered to geder in my name/ there am I in the myddes of them. For where two or thre are gathered together ī my name, there am I in the myddest amonge them.
18:21 Then cam Peter to hym/ and sayde: master/ howe ofte shall my brother trespas ageynst me/ and I shall foryeve hym? shall I forgeve hym seven tymes? Then came Peter to him/ and sayde: master howe ofte shall I forgeve my brother/ yf he synne agaynst me/ seven tymes? Then came Peter to him/ and sayde: master howe ofte shall I forgeue my brother/ yf he synne agaynst me/ seuen tymes? Then came Peter vnto him, & sayde, LORDE, how oft shal I forgeue my brother, yt trespaceth agaynst me? Seuē tymes?
18:22 Iesus sayd vnto hym: I saye nott vnto the seven tymes: but seventy tymes sevē tymes. Iesus sayd vnto him: I saye not vnto the seven tymes: but seventy tymes seven tymes. Iesus sayd vnto him: I saye not vnto the seuen tymes: but seuenty tymes seuen tymes. Iesus saide vnto hī: I saye not vnto ye seuē tymes, but seuētie tymes seuen tymes.
18:23 Therefore is the kyngdom off hevē lykened vnto a certayne kynge/ which wolde take a coūtſ of his servauntſ/ Therfore is ye kingdome of heven lykened vnto a certayne kynge/ which wolde take a countis of his servauntis. Therfore is the kyngdome of heuen lykened vnto a certayne kynge/ which wolde take a countes of his seruauntes. Therfore is ye kingdome of heauē lickened vnto a kynge which wolde reken wt his seruauntes.
18:24 and when he had begune to recken/ won was browghte vnto hym/ which ought hym ten thousande talenttſ: And when he had begone to recken/ one was broughte vnto him/ whiche ought him ten thousande talentis: And when he had begone to recken/ one was brought vnto him/ which ought him ten thousande talentis: And whan he beganne to rekē, one was brought vnto him, which ought him ten thousande poūde.
18:25 but when he had nought to paye/ the lord cōmaunded him to be solde/ and his wyfe/ and his childrē: and all that he had/ and payment to be made. whome be cause he had nought to paye his master commaunded him to be solde/ and his wyfe/ & his chyldren/ and all that he had/ and payment to be made. whome because he had nought to paye/ his master commaunded him to be solde/ and his wyfe/ and his chyldrē/ and all that he had/ and payment to be made. Now whā he had nothinge to paye his lorde cōmaunded him to be solde, & his wife & his childrē, & all yt he had, & payment to be made.
18:26 The servaunt fell doune and besought hym sainge: Syr Yeve me respyte/ and I wyll paye hit every whit. The servaunt fell doune & besought him sayinge: Sir/ geve me respyte/ and I wyll paye it every whit. The seruaunt fell doune & besought him sayinge: Sir/ geue me respyte/ and I will paye it euery whit. Then the seruaunt fell downe, & besought him, sayenge: Syr, haue paciēce wt me, and I wil paye the all.
18:27 Thē had the lorde pitie on the servaunt/ and lowsed hym/ and forgave hym the dett. Then had the Lorde pytie on that servaunt/ and lowsed him/ and forgave him the det. Then had the Lorde pytie on that seruaunt/ and lowsed him/ and forgaue him the det. Then had the lorde pytie on that seruaunt, & discharged him, and forgaue him the dett.
18:28 The same servaunt went out and founde wone off his felowes/ which ought hym an hundred pence. And leyed hōdſ on hym/ and toke hym by the throote/ saīge: paye that thou owest. And ye sayde servaūt wēt oute & founde one of his felowes/ which ought him an hundred pence/ and leyed hondes on him/ and toke him by the throote/ sayinge: paye me yt thou owest. And the sayde seruaunt went oute and founde one of his felowes which ought him an hundred pence/ and leyed hondes on him/ and toke him by the throote/ sayinge: paye me that thou owest. And the same seruaunt wēte out, & foūde one of his felowes, which ought him an hūdreth pens, and layed hande vpon him, and toke him by the throte, and sayde: paye me that thou owest.
18:29 And his felowe fell doune/ and besought hym/ saynge: have pacience with me/ and I wyll paye the all/ And his felowe fell doune and besought him sayinge: have pacience with me/ and I wyll paye the all. And his felowe fell doune and besought him sayinge: haue pacience with me/ and I will paye the all. Thē his felowe fell downe, and besought him, sayenge: haue paciēce wt me, and I wil paye the all
18:30 And he wollde not/ but wēt and cast hym in to preson/ tyll he shulde paye the dett. And he wolde not/ but went & cast him into preson/ tyll he shulde paye the det. And he wolde not but went & cast him into preson/ tyll he shulde paye the det. Neuertheles, he wolde not, but wente and cast him in to preson, tyll he shulde paye the dett.
18:31 When his other felowes sawe what was done/ they were very sory and cam and tolde vnto there lorde all that had happened. O euyll seruaunt I forgaue the all that det/ because thou prayedst me: Then his lorde called for him, and sayde vnto him: O thou wicked seruaūt, I forgaue the all this dett, because thou praydest me:
18:33 Was it not mete also/ that thou shuldest have had compassion on thy folow/ evē as y had pitie on the? was it not mete also yt thou shuldest have had cōpassion on thy felow/ even as I had pitie on ye? was it not mete also that thou shuldest haue had compassion on thy felow/ euen as I had pitie on the? shuldest not thou then haue had compassion also vpon thy felowe, euen as I had pytie vpon the?
18:34 ād his lorde was wrooth/ and delyvered hym to the ioylers/ tyll he shulde paye all that was due to hym. And his lorde was wrooth/ & delyuered him to the iaylers/ tyll he shnld paye all that was due to him. 18:35 So lyke wyse shall youre hevenly father do vnto you/ yf ye wyll nott forgeve with youre herttſ/ each wō to his brother there treaspases. So lyke wyse shall my hevenly father do vnto you/ except ye forgeve with youre hertſ/ eache one to his brother their treaspases. So lyke wyse shall my heuenly father do vnto you/ except ye forgeue with youre hertes/ eache one to his brother their treaspases. So shal my heauenly father do also vnto you, yf ye euery one of you frō youre hertes, forgeue not his brother his trespaces.
