3:2	Whē Anna ād Cayphas were the hye prestes: The cōmaundment of god was puplisshed vnto Ihon the sōne off Zacarias in the wildernes.	when Anna & Cayphas were the hye prestes: the worde of God came vnto Iohn y^e sonne of zacharias in the wildernes.	whē Anna & Cayphas were the hye prestes the worde of God came vnto Iohn the sonne of zacharias in the wildernes.	when Hannas and Caiphas were hye prestes, thē came y^e worde of God vnto Ihon the sonne of Zachary in the wyldernes.

3:4	as it is written in the boke of the sayingſ of Esayas the prophet/ which saeth: The voyce off a cryar in wyldernes/ prepare the waye off the lorde/ make hys pathes straight.	at it is written in the boke of the sayinges of Esaias y^e Prophet which sayeth: The voyce of a cryar in wyldernes/ prepare the waye of the Lorde/ make hys pathes strayght.	as it is written in the boke of the sayinges of Esaias the Prophet which sayeth The voyce of a cryar in wildernes: prepare the waye of the Lorde/ make his pathes strayght.	As it is wryttē in y^e boke of y^e sayenges of Esaye the prophet, which sayeth: The voyce of a cryer in the wyldernes: prepare the waye of the LORDE, and make his pathes straight.
3:5	Every valley shalbe fylled/ and every mountayne and hyll shalbe broght lowe: And crocked thyngſ shalbe made streight: ād the rought wayes shalbe made smoth. 3:7	Then sayde he to the people/ that were come to be baptised of hym. O generacion of vipers: who hath shewed you the crafte to flye from wrath to come? 3:8	Brynge forth due frutes of repentaunce/ And begyn nott to saye in youre selves/ we have Abrahā to oure father. For I say vnto you: god is able of these stones to reyse vppe children vnto Abraham. 3:9	Nowe also ys the axe leyd vnto the rote off the trees. Every tree therfore/ which bringeth not forth good frute/ shalbe hewen doune/ and caste in to the fyre. 3:11	He answered and sayde vnto them: He that hath ij. coottſ/ lett hym parte with him that hath none: And he that hath meate/ let him do lyke wyse. 3:14	The soudiers lyke wyse demaunded off hym/ sayinge: And what shall we do? And he sayde to them: Do violence to noo mā: nether trouble eny man wrongfully: And be content wyth youre wages. 3:17	which hath his fan ī his hōd/ ād wil pourge his floore/ ād will gader his corne in to hys barne/ And the chaffe wyll he bourne with fyre that never shalbe quenched.	which hath his fanne in his hond/ and will pourge his floore/ and will gader the corne in to his barne: but the chaffe wyll he bourne with fyre that never shalbe quenched.	which hath his fanne in his hond/ & will pourge his floore/ & will gader the corne in to his barne: but the chaffe wyll he bourne with fyre that neuer shalbe quenched.	Whose fanne is in his hande, and he shal pourge his floore, and shal gather y^e wheate in to his barne, and shal burne the chaffe with vnquencheable fyre.

3:22	ād the holy goost cam doune in a bodely shape lyke a dove apō hī/ And a voyce cam from heven/ sayinge: thou arte my dere sonne/ In the do I delyte.	& the holy goost came doune in a bodely shape lyke a dove vpō him/ & a voyce came frō hevē sayinge: Thou arte my dere sonne/ in the do I delyte.	& the holy gost came doune in a bodely shape lyke a doue vpon him/ and a voyce came from heauen sayinge: Thou arte my dere sonne/ in the do I delyte.	and the holy goost came downe in a bodely shappe like a doue vpon him. And out of heauen there came a voyce, which sayde: Thou art my deare sonne, in whō I delyte.
3:23	And Iesus him silfe was about thirty yere of age when he began/ beinge as mē supposed the sonne of Ioseph. which Ioseph was the sōne of Heli. And he was taken for the sonne of Ioseph, which was the sonne of Eli,
