2:1 HIt folowed in thoose dayes: that there wēt oute a commaundment from Auguste the Emperour/ that all the woorlde shulde be valued. ANd it chaunced in thoose dayes: yt ther went oute a cōmaundment from Auguste the Emperour/ that all the woorlde shuld be taxed. ANd it chaūced in those dayes: that ther went oute a cōmaundment from Auguste the Emperour/ that all the woorlde shuld be taxed. IT fortuned at the same tyme, that there wēte out a cōmaundement frō Augustus the Emperoure, that the whole worlde shulde be taxed.
2:2 This taxynge was fyrst executed when Syrenus was leftenaunt in Siria. And this taxynge was ye fyrst and executed when Syrenius was leftenaūt in Syria. And this taxinge was the fyrst and executed when Syrenius was leftenaūt in Siria. And this taxynge was the first that was executed, whan Syrenius was leftenaunt in Siria.
2:3 And every man wēt in to his awne shyre toune/ there to be taxed. And every man went vnto his awne citie to be taxed. And euery man went vnto his awne citie to be taxed. And they wente all, euery one to his owne cite to be taxed.
2:4 And Ioseph also ascended from Galile/ oute of a cite called Nazareth/ vnto iewry: in to a cite of David/ which is called bethleē/ because he was of the housse ād linage of David And Ioseph also ascended from Galile/ oute of a cite called Nazareth/ into Iurie: vnto ye cite of David which is called Bethleem/ because he was of the housse and linage of David/ And Ioseph also ascended from Galile/ oute of a cite called Nazareth/ into Iurie: vnto the cite of Dauid which is called Bethleem/ because he was of the housse & linage of Dauid/ Then Ioseph gat him vp also frō Galile, out of the cite of Nazareth, in to Iewry, to ye cite of Dauid, which is called Bethleem, (because he was of ye house and lynage of Dauid)
2:5 to be taxed with Mary his wedded wife/ which was with childe. to be taxed with Mary his spoused wyfe which was with chylde. to be taxed with Mary his spoused wyfe which was with chylde. that he might be taxed wt Mary his spoused wife, which was wt childe.
2:6 And it fortuned whill they there were/ her tyme was come that she shulde be delyvered. And it fortuned whyll they were there/ her tyme was come that she shuld be delyvered. 2:7 And she brought forth her fyrst begotten sonne. And wrapped hym in swadlynge cloothes/ and layed hym in a manger/ be cause there was no roume for them with in/ in the hostrey. 2:8 And there were in the same region shepherdſ abydinge in the felde/ and watching their flocke by nyght. 2:10 And the angell sayd vnto them: Be not afrayed Beholde I brynge you tydingſ off greate ioye/ that shall come to all the people: But the angell sayd vnto them: Be not afrayed. For beholde/ I bringe you tydinges of greate ioye yt shal come to all ye people: But the angell sayde vnto thē: Be not afrayed. Beholde, I brynge you tydīges of greate ioye, which shall happen vnto all people:
2:11 for vnto you is borne this daye in the cite of David a saveoure/ which is christ the lorde. for vnto you is borne this daye in the cite of David/ a saveoure which is Christ ye lorde. for vnto you is borne this daye in the cite of Dauid/ a saueoure which is Christ the lorde. for vnto you this daye is borne ye Sauioure, euē Christ ye LORDE, in the cite of Dauid.
2:12 And take this for a signe: ye shall fynde the childe swadled/ ād layed ī a māger. And take this for a signe: ye hall fynde ye chylde swadled & layed in a māger. 2:26 And an answer was gevē hym of the holy goost/ that he shulde not se deethe/ before he had sene the lordes Christ. 2:37 And this wedowe was aboute .iiij. scoore and .iiij. yere off age/ which went never oute of the temple/ but served there with fastinge and prayer nyght and daye. 2:38 And she cam forth that same houre/ and praysed god/ ād spake of hym to all that loked for redempcion in hierusalem. 2:40 And the childe grewe and wexed stronge in sprete/ and was full off wysdom/ and the favour of god was with hym. 2:46 And hit fortuned that after .iij. dayes/ they founde hym in the temple sittinge in the middes of the doctours/ both hearynge them/ and posinge them. 2:49 And he sayd vnto them: howe is it that ye sought me? wist ye not that I muste goo aboute my fathers busines? And he sayde vnto thē: how is it yt ye sought me? Wist ye not that I must goo aboute my fathers busines? And he sayde vnto thē: how is it that ye sought me? Wist ye not that I must goo aboute my fathers busines? And he sayde vnto them: What is it, that ye haue sought me? Wyst ye not, yt I must go aboute my fathers busynes?
2:50 And they vnderstod nott the saynge that he spake to them. And they vnderstode not ye sayinge that he spake to them. And they vnderstode not the sayinge that he spake to thē. And they vnderstode not the sayenge yt he spake vnto them.
2:51 And he went with them and cam to nazareth/ and was obedient to them. His mother kept all these thyngſ ī her hert. And he went with them/ & came to Nazareth/ & was obedient to thē.
