7:1 REmember ye not brethren (I speake to thē thatt know the lawe) how thatt the lawe hath power over a man as longe as yt enduereth: REmember ye not brethren (I speake to them yt know the lawe) how that the lawe hath power over a man as longe as it endureth? REmember ye not brethrē (I speake to them that know the lawe) how that the lawe hath power ouer a mā as longe as it endureth? KNowe ye not brethren (for I speake vnto them that knowe the lawe) how that ye lawe hath power vpon a man as longe as he lyueth?
7:2 For the woman which is in subieccion to a man/ is bounde by the lawe to the man/ as longe as he liveth. Yff the man be deed/ she is lowsed from the lawe of the man. For the woman which is in subieccion to a man/ is bounde by the lawe to the man/ as longe as he liveth. Yf the man be deed/ she is lowsed from the lawe of the man For the woman which is in subiecciō to a mā/ is boūde by the lawe to the man/ as longe as he liueth. If the man be deed/ she is lowsed frō the lawe of the mā. For the woman yt is in subieccion to the man, is bounde vnto the lawe whyle the man lyueth: but yf the man dye, then is she lowsed from the lawe that concerneth the man.
7:3 So then yf whill the man liveth she couple her silfe with another man/ she shalbe coūted a wedlocke breaker. But yf the man be deed she is fre from the lawe: so that she is noo wedlocke breaker/ though she couple her silfe with another man. So then yf whill the man liveth she couple her selfe with another man/ she shalbe counted a wedlocke breaker. But yf the man be deed/ she is fre frō the lawe: so that she is no wedlocke breaker/ though she couple her selfe with another man/ So then yf whill the mā liueth she couple her selfe with another mā/ she shalbe counted a wedlocke breaker. But yf the man be deed/ she is fre from the lawe: so that she is no wedlocke breaker/ though she couple her selfe with another man. Yf she be now with another man, whyle the man lyueth, she shal be called a wedlocke breaker. But yf the man be deed, then is she fre from the lawe, so that she is no wedlocke breaker, yf she be with another man.
7:4 Even so my brethren/ ye also are made deed as concernynge the lawe by the body off Christ/ that ye shulde be coupled to another (I meane to hym that is rysen agayne from deeth) that we shulde brynge forth furte vnto God. Even so ye my brethren/ are deed concerninge the lawe by the body of Christ/ yt ye shuld be coupled to another (I meane to him that is rysen agayne frō deeth) that we shuld bringe forth frute vnto God. Euen so ye my brethrē/ are deed concerninge the lawe by the body of Christ/ that ye shulde be coupled to another (I meane to him that is risen agayne from deeth) that we shuld bringe forth frute vnto God. Euen so my brethren, ye also are deed vnto the lawe by the body of Christ, that ye shulde be with another (namely wt him which is raysed vp from the deed) that we shulde brynge forth frute vnto God.
7:5 When we were in the flesshe/ the lustes off synne whyche were stered vppe by the lawe/ raigned in oure members/ to brīge forth frute vnto deeth. For when we were in the flesshe/ the lustes of synne which were stered vppe by ye lawe/ raygned in oure membres/ to bringe forth frute vnto deeth. For when we were in the flesshe/ the lustes of synne which were stered vppe by the lawe raygned in oure members/ to bringe forth frute vnto deeth. For whan we were in the flesh, the synfull lustes (which were stered vp by the lawe) were mightie in oure membres to brynge forth frute vnto death.
7:6 Butt now are we delivered from the lawe/ and deed from hit/ where vnto we were in bondage/ that we shulde serve in an newe conversacion of the sprete/ and nott in the olde conversacion off the letter. But now are we delivered frō the lawe & deed/ frō that whervnto we werein bondage/ that we shuld serve in a newe conversacion of ye sprete/ & not in ye olde conversacion of the letter. But now are we deliuered frō the lawe & deed frō that whervnto we were in bondage that we shuld serue in a newe cōuersacion of the sprete/ & not in the olde conuersacion of the letter. But now are we lowsed from the lawe, and deed vnto it, that helde vs captyue, so that we shulde serue in a new conuersacion of the sprete, and not in the olde conuersacion of the letter.
7:7 What shall we saye then? is the lawe synne? God forbid: but I knewe nott what synne me and butt by the lawe. For I had nott knowne what lust hadde meant/ excepte the lawe hadde sayde/ thou shalt not lust. What shall we saye then? is ye lawe synne? God forbid: but I knewe not what synne meant but by the lawe. For I had not knowne what lust had meant/ excepte the lawe had sayde/ thou shalt not lust. What shall we saye then? is the lawe synne? God forbyd: but I knewe not what synne meāt but by the lawe. For I had not knowne what lust had meant/ excepte the lawe had sayde/ thou shalt not lust. What shal we saye then? Is the lawe synne? God forbyd: Neuertheles I knewe not synne, but by ye lawe. For I had knowne nothinge of lust, yf the lawe had not sayde: Thou shalt not lust.
7:8 But synne toke an occasion by the meanes off the commaundement/ and wrought in me all manner off concupiscence. For verely with out the lawe sinne was deed. But synne toke an occasion by the meanes of the commaundement/ and wrought in me all manner of concupiscēce. For with out the lawe/ synne was deed. But synne toke an occasion by the meanes of the commaundement and wrought in me all māner of concupiscence. For verely without the lawe/ synne was deed. But then toke synne occasion at the commaundement, and stered vp in me all maner of lust. For without the lawe synne was deed.
7:9 I once lived with out lawe: butt when the commaundement cam/ synne revived/ ād I was deed. I once lived with out lawe. But when the commaundement came/ synne revyved/ and I was deed. I once liued without lawe. But when the cōmaundemēt came/ synne reuyued/ and I was deed. As for me, I lyued some tyme without lawe. Howbeit whan the commaundement came, synne reuyued, but I was deed.
7:10 And the very same commaundement which was ordeyned vnto lyfe/ was founde to be vnto me an occasion of deeth. And the very same cōmaundement which was ordeyned vnto lyfe/ was founde to be vnto me an occasion of deeth. And the very same cōmaundement which was ordeyned vnto lyfe/ was founde to be vnto me an occasion of deeth. And the very same commaundement that was geuen me vnto life, was founde to be vnto me on occasion of death.
7:11 For synne toke occasiō by the meanes of the cōmaundement and so disceaved me/ and by the silfe cōmaundemēt slewe me. For synne toke occasion by the meanes of the cōmaundement & so disceaved me/ and by the selfe commaundement slewe we. For synne toke occasion by the meanes of the commaundement/ & so disceaued me/ & by the selfe commaundemēt slewe me. For synne toke occasion at the cōmaundement, and disceaued me, and slewe me by the same commaundement.
7:12 wherfore the lawe is holy/ and the cōmaundement holy/ iust/ and good. Wherfore the lawe is holy/ and the commaundement holy/ iust and good. Wherfore the lawe is holy/ and the commaundement holy/ iust and good. The lawe in dede is holy, and the commaundement holy, iust and good.
7:13 Was that then which is good made deeth vnto me? God forbyd. Naye synne was deeth vnto me/ that it myght apere how thatt synne by the meanes of that which is good/ had wrought deeth in me: that synne which is vnder the commaundemēt/ myght be out of measure synfull. Was that then which is good/ made deeth vnto me? God forbyd. Naye/ synne was deeth vnto me/ that it myght appere/ how that synne by the meanes of that which is good/ had wrought deeth in me: that synne which is vnder the commandemēt/ myght be out of measure synfull. Was that then which is good/ made deeth vnto me? God forbyd. Naye/ synne was deeth vnto me/ that it myght appere/ how that synne by the meanes of that which is good/ had wrought deeth in me: that synne which is vnder the cōmaundement/ myght be out of measure synfull. Is that then which is good, become death vnto me? God forbyd. But synne, that it mighte appeare how yt it is synne, hath wroughte me death thorow good: that synne mighte be out of measure synfull by the commaundement.
7:14 For we knowe that the lawe is spirituall: butt I am carnall/ solde vnder synne: For we knowe that the lawe is spirituall: but I am carnall/ solde vnder synne/ For we knowe that the lawe is spirituall: but I am carnall solde vnder synne/ For we knowe, that the lawe is spirituall, but I am carnall, solde vnder synne:
7:15 be cause I wote nott what I doo. For what I wold/ that do I not: but what I hate/ that do I. because I wote not what I doo. For what I wold/ that do I not: but what I hate/ that do I. because I wote not what I do. For what I wold/ that do I not: but what I hate/ that do I. because I knowe not what I do. For I do not yt I will, but what I hate, yt do I.
7:16 Yf I do nowe that which I wolde not/ I graūte to the lawe that yt ys good. Yf I do now that which I wolde not/ I graūte to the lawe that it is good. Yf I do now that which I wolde not/ I graūte to the lawe that it is good. Yf I do now that which I wil not, thē graunte I, that the lawe is good.
7:17 So then nowe yt is nott I that do it/ butt synne that dwelleth in me. So then nowe/ it is not I that do it/ but synne that dwelleth in me. So then nowe/ it is not I that do it/ but synne that dwelleth in me. So then it is not I that do it, but synne that dwelleth in me:
7:18 For I knowe that in me (that is to saye ī my flesshe) dwelleth no good thynge. To will is present with me: butt I fynde no meanes to performe that which is good. For I knowe that in me (that is to saye in my flesshe) dwelleth no good thinge. To will is present with me: but I fynde no meanes to performe that which is good. For I knowe that in me (that is to saye in my flesshe) dwelleth no good thinge. To will is present with me: but I fynde no meanes to performe that which is good. for I knowe that in me (yt is, in my flesh) there dwelleth no good thinge. To wyll is present wt me, but to perfourme yt which is good,
7:19 For I doo not that goode thynge which I wold: but that evyll do I/ which I wolde not. For I doo not yt good thinge which I wold: but that evill do I/ which I wolde not. For I do not that good thinge which I wold: but that euill do I/ which I wold not. I fynde not. For ye good that I wyll, do I not: but the euell which I wil not, that do I.
7:20 Finally/ yff I do that I wolde not/ then is it nott I that doo it/ but synne that dwelleth ī me doeth it. Finally/ yf I do that I wolde not/ then is it not I that doo it/ but synne that dwelleth in me/ doeth it. Finally if I do that I wolde not/ then is it not I that do it/ but synne that dwelleth in me/ doeth it. Yf I do now that I wil not, then is it not I that do it, but synne that dwelleth in me.
7:21 I fynde then by the lawe that when I wolde do good/ evyll is present with me. I fynde then by the lawe that when I wolde do good/ evyll is present with me. I fynde then by the lawe/ that when I wolde doo good/ euyll is present with me. Thus fynde I now by the lawe, yt whan I wyl do good, euell is present with me.
7:22 I delite in the lawe off God/ as concernynge the inner man. I delite in the lawe of God/ concerninge the inner man. I delite in the lawe of God/ concerninge the inner man. For I delite in the lawe of God after the inwarde man:
7:23 Butt I se another lawe in my members rebellynge agaynst the lawe off my mynde/ and subduynge me vnto the lawe of synne/ which is ī my members. But I se another lawe in my membres rebellinge agaynst the lawe of my mynde/ & subduynge me vnto the lawe of synne/ which is in my membres. But I se another lawe in my membres rebellinge agaynst the lawe of my mynde/ & subduynge me vnto the lawe of synne/ which is in my members. but I se another lawe in my membres, which stryueth agaynst ye lawe of my mynde, and taketh me presoner in ye lawe of synne, which is in my membres.
7:24 O wretched man that I am: who shall delyver me from this boddy of deeth? O wretched man yt I am: who shall delyver me frō this body of deeth? O wretched man that It am: who shall deliuer me from this body of deeth? O wretched man that I am, who shal delyuer me from the body of this death?
7:25 I thanke God by Iesus Christ oure lorde: So then I my silfe in my mynde serve the lawe off God/ ād in my flesshe the lawe of synne. I thanke God thorow Iesus Christ oure Lorde. So then I my silfe in my mynde serve the lawe of God/ and in my flesshe the lawe of synne. I thanke God thorow Iesus Christ oure Lorde. So then I my selfe in my mynde serue the lawe of God/ and in my flesshe the lawe of synne. I thanke God thorow Iesus Christ oure LORDE. So then wt the mynde I serue ye lawe of God, but with the flesh the lawe of synne.
