11:1 I Saye then: hath God cast awaye his people? God forbid. For even I verely am an Israhelite of the seed of Abraham/ and off the tribe of beniamin. I Saye then: hath god cast awaye his people? God forbyd. For even I verely am an Israelite/ of the seed of Abrahā/ and of ye tribe of Beniamin/ I Saye then: hath god cast awaye his people? God forbyd. For euen I verely am an Israelite/ of the seed of Abraham/ & of the tribe of Beniamin/ I Saye then: Hath God thrust out his people? God forbyd: for I also am an Israelite, of the sede of Abraham out of the trybe of Ben Iamin.
11:2 God hath not cast awaye his people which he knew before. Other wote ye not what the scripture sayth by the mouth off Helias/ howe he spake to god agaynst Israhel/ sayinge: god hath not cast awaye his people which he knew before. Ether wote ye not what the scripture sayth by the mouth of Helias/ how he maketh intercession to god agaynst Israel/ sayinge: God hath not cast awaye his people which he knewe before. Ether wote ye not what the scripture sayth by the mouth of Helias/ how he maketh intercession to God agaynst Israel/ sayinge? God hath not thrust out his people, whom he knewe before. Or wote ye not what the scripture sayeth of Elias, how he maketh intercession vnto God agaynst Israel, and sayeth:
11:3 Lorde they have killed thy prophettſ and digged doune thyn alters: ād I am lefte only/ ād they seke my deeth. Lorde they have kylled thy prophetes & dygged doune thyn alters: & I am lefte only/ & they seke my lyfe. Lorde they haue kylled thy prophetes/ and dygged doune thyne alters: & I am lefte only/ & they seke my life. LORDE, they haue slayne thy prophetes, & dydged downe thine altares, and I am lefte ouer onely, and they seke my life?
11:4 Butt what sayth the answer off God to hym agayne? I have reserved vnto me seven thousande men whych have nott bowed their knees to baal. But what sayth the answer of god to him agayne? I have reserved vnto me seven thousande men which have not bowed the knee to Baal. But what sayth the answer of God to him agayne? I haue reserued vnto me seuen thousande men which haue not bowed the knee to Baal. But what sayeth the answere of God vnto him? I haue reserued vnto me seuen thousande men, which haue not bowed their knee before Baal.
11:5 Even so at this tyme ys there a remnaūt lefte thorow the eleccion of grace. Even so at this tyme ys ther a remnanaunt lefte thorow the eleccion of grace. Euen so at this tyme is ther a remnaūt lefte thorow the eleccion of grace. Euē so goeth it now at this tyme also wt this remnaunt after ye eleccion of grace.
11:6 Yff hit be of grace then is it not by the deservynge of workes. For then were faveour no faveour. Yff it be by deservynge of workſ/ thē is there no faveour. For then were deserving no deservynge. Yf it be of grace/ thē is it not of workes. For then were grace no moare grace. Yf it be of workes/ then is it no moare grace. For then were deservyng no lenger deservynge. Yf it be of grace/ then is it not of workes. For then were grace no moare grace. Yf it be of workes/ then is it no moare grace. For then were deseruinge no lenger deseruinge. Yf it be done of grace, thē is it not of deseruynge: els were grace no grace. But yf it be of deseruynge, then is grace nothinge: els were deseruynge no deseruynge.
11:7 What then? Israhel hath not obtayned that that he sought. No but yet the elecciō hath obtayned hit. the remnaunt are blynded. What then? Israel hath not obtayned that/ that he sought. No but yet the election hath obtayned it. The remnaunt are blynded/ What then? Israel hath not obtayned that that he sought. No but yet the eleccion hath obtayned it. The remnaūt are blinded/ What thē? Israel hath not optayned yt which he soughte, but the eleccion hath optayned it. As for ye other, they are blynded.
11:8 accordynge as it is written: God hath geven them the spre off vnquyetnes: eyes thatt they shulde nott se/ and eares that they shulde nott heare/ even vnto this daye. accordynge as it is written: God hath geven thē the sprete of vnquyetnes: eyes that they shuld not se/ & eares that they shuld not heare even vnto this daye. accordinge as it is written: God hath geuen them the sprete of vnquyetnes: eyes that they shuld not se & eares that they shulde not heare/ euen vnto this daye. As it is wrytten: God hath geuen them the sprete of vnquyetnesse, eyes that they shulde not se, and eares that they shulde not heare, euē vnto this daye.
11:9 And David sayth: Lett their table be made a snare to take them with all/ ād an occasion to faule/ and a rewarde vnto them. And David sayth: Let their table be made a snare to take them with all/ and an occasion to faule/ and a rewarde vnto them. And Dauid sayth: Let their table be made a snare to take them with all/ and an occasion to faule/ and a rewarde vnto thē. And Dauid sayeth: Let their table be made a snare to take thē with all, & an occasion to fall, & a rewarde vnto thē.
11:10 Lett their eyes be blynded that they se nott: and ever bowe doune their backes. Let their eyes be blynded that they se not: & ever bowe doune their backes. Let their eyes be blinded that they se not: and euer bowe doune their backes. Let their eyes be blynded that they se not, and euer bowe downe their backes.
11:11 I saye thē: Have they therfore stombled that they shulde but faule ōly? God forbyd: but thorowe their faule is helth happened vnto the gentyls forto provoke thē with all. I saye then: Have they therfore stombled that they shulde but faule only? God forbyd: but thorowe their faule is salvaciō happened vnto the gentyls/ for to provoke thē with all. I saye then: Haue they therfore stombled/ that they shulde but faule only? God forbyd: but thorowe their faule is saluacion happened vnto the gentyls/ for to prouoke thē with all. I saye then: Haue they therfore stombled, yt they shulde cleane fall to naughte? God forbyd: but thorow their fall is saluacion happened vnto ye Heythen, that he mighte prouoke them to be zelous after them.
11:12 Wherfore yf the faule of thē/ be the riches of the worlde: and the mynnysshynge of them the riches of the gentyls: Howe moche more shulde it be soo yf they all beleved. Wherfore yf the faule of them/ be the ryches of the worlde: and the mynysshynge of them the ryches of the gentyls: How moche more shuld it be so/ yf they all beleved. Wherfore yf the faule of them/ be the ryches of the worlde: and the mynysshinge of them the riches of the gentyls: How moche moare shulde it be so/ yf they all beleued. For yf their fall be the riches of the worlde, and the mynishinge of thē the riches of the Heythen: how moch more shulde it be so, yf their fulnesse were there?
11:13 I speake to you gentyls/ in as moche as I am the apostle off the gentyls I will magnify myn office I speake to you gentyls/ in as moche as I am the Apostle of ye gentyls I will magnify myn office/ I speake to you gentyls/ in as moche as I am the Apostle of the gētyls/ I will magnify myn office/ I speake vnto you Heythen: for in as moch as I am ye Apostle of the Heythen, I wil prayse myne office,
11:14 that I myght provoke thē which are my flesshe: ād myght save some of thē. that I myght provoke them which are my flesshe/ and myght save some of them. that I myght prouoke them which are my flesshe/ and myght saue some of thē. yf I mighte prouoke them vnto zele, which are my fleshe, and saue some of them.
11:15 For if the castynge awaye of thē/ be the reconcilynge of the worlde: what shall the receavynge of them be/ but lyfe agayne frō deeth? For yf the castynge awaye of them/ be the reconcylynge of the worlde: what shall the receavynge of them be/ but lyfe agayne from deeth? For yf the castinge awaye of them/ be the reconcylynge of the worlde: what shall the receauynge of them be/ but lyfe agayne from deeth? For yf the losse of them by the recōcylinge of the worlde, what were that els, then as yf life were taken of the deed?
11:16 For yf one pece be holy/ the whole heepe is holy. And if the rote be holy/ the braunches are holy also. For yf one pece be holy/ the whole heepe is holy. And yf the rote be holy/ the braunches are holy also. For yf one pece be holy the whole heepe is holy. And yf the rote be holy/ the braunches are holy also. Yf the begynnynge be holy, then is all ye dowe holy: and yf the rote be holy, then are the braunches holy also.
11:17 Though some of the braunches be broken of/ and thou beynge a wylde olive tree arte graft in amonge them/ and made part taker of the rote/ and fatnes off the olive tree/ Though some of the brauuches be broken of/ and thou beynge a wylde olyue tree/ arte graft in amonge them/ & made parttaker of ye rote and fatnes of the olyve tree/ Though some of the braunches be broken of/ and thou beynge a wylde oliue tree/ arte graft in amonge them/ & made parttaker of the rote and fatnes of the olyue tree/ But though some of ye braunches now be brokē, and thou, whā thou wast a wylde olyue tre, art grafte in amonge them, and made partaker of the rote and sappe of the olyue tre,
11:18 bost not thy sylfe agaynst the braunches. For yf thou bost thy sylfe/ remember that thou bearest not the rote/ but the rote the. bost not thy selfe agaynst the braūches. For yf thou bost thy selfe/ remember that thou bearest not the rote/ but the rote the. bost not thy selfe agaynst the braunches. For yf thou bost thy selfe/ remember that thou bearest not the rote/ but the rote the. boost not thy selfe agaynst the braunches. Yf thou boost thy selfe agaynst them, then bearest not thou the rote, but the rote beareth the.
11:19 Thou wilt saye then: the braunches are broken off/ thatt I myght be grafte in. Thou wilt saye then: the braūches are broken of/ that I myght be grafte in. Thou wilt saye then: the braūches are broken of/ that I myght be grafte in. Thou wilt saye then: the braunches are brokē of, that I mighte be grafted in.
11:20 Thou sayest wele: be cause of vnbeleve they are broken of/ and thou stondest stedfast in faythe. Be not hye mynded/ but feare: Thou sayest well: because of vnbeleve they are broken of/ and thou stondest stedfast in fayth. Be not hye mynded/ but feare Thou sayest well: because of vnbeleue they are broken of/ and thou stondest stedfast in fayth. Be not hye mynded/ but feare Thou sayest well. They are broken of because off their vnbeleue, but thou stondest thorow beleue Be not thou hye mynded, but feare,
11:21 seynge that god spared not the naturall braunches/ lest haply he also spare not the. seynge that God spared not the naturall braunches/ lest haply he also spare not the. seynge that God spared not the naturall braūches/ lest haply he also spare not the. seynge God hath not spared the naturall braunches, lest he also spare not the.
11:22 Beholde the kyndnes ād rigorousnes of god: on them which fell/ rigorousnes: butt towardes the kyndnes/ yf thou continue in his kyndnes. or els thou shalt be hewen of/ Beholde ye kyndnes & rigorousnes of God: on thē which fell/ rigorousnes: but towardes the/ kyndnes/ yf thou cōtinue in his kyndnes. Or els thou shalt be hewen of/ Beholde the kindnes & rigorousnes of God: on thē which fell/ rigorousnes: but towardes the/ kyndnes/ yf thou cōtinue in his kyndnes. Or els thou shalt be hewen of/ Beholde therfore the kyndnesse and rigorousnes off God: on them which fell, rigorousnes: but towarde the, kyndnes, yf thou contynue in the kyndnesse. Els shalt thou be hewē of:
11:23 and they yf they byde nott still in vnbeleve shalbe graffed in agayne. For God is of power to grafte them in agayne. & they yf they byde not still in vnbelefe/ shalbe graffed in agayne. For God is of power to graffe them in agayne. & they yf they byde not still in vnbelefe/ shalbe graffed in agayne. For God is of power to graffe them in agayne. and they, yf they byde not styll in vnbeleue, shal be grafted in agayne. For God is of power to grafte thē in agayne.
11:24 For yf thou wast cut out of a naturall wilde olive tree/ and wast graffed contrary to nature in a true olyve tree: howe moche more shall the naturall braunches be graffed in their awne olyve tree agayne. For yf thou wast cut out of a naturall wilde olyve tree/ and wast graffed contrary to nature in a true olyve tree: how moche more shall the naturall braūches be graffed in their awne olyve tree agayne. For yf thou wast cut out of a naturall wilde olyue tree/ and wast graffed contrary to nature in a true olyue tree: how moche more shall the naturall braunches be graffed in their awne olyue tree agayne. For yf thou be cut out of the naturall wilde olyue tre, and grafted (contrary to nature) in the good olyue tre, how moch more shal they that are naturall, be grafted in their awne olyue tre agayne?
11:25 I wolde not that this secrete shulde be hid frō you my brethren (lest ye shulde be wyse in youre awne consaytes) that partly blyndnes ys happened in Israhell/ vntill the fulnes off the gentyls be come ī. I wolde not that this secrete shuld be hyd frō you my brethren (lest ye shuld be wyse in youre awne consaytes) that partly blyndnes is happened in Israel/ vntyll ye fulnes of the gentyls be come in: I wolde not that this secrete shulde be hyd from you my brethrē (lest ye shuld be wyse in youre awne consaytes) that partly blyndnes is happened in Israel/ vntill the fulnes of the gentyls be come in: I wolde not that this secrete shulde be hyd from you brethrē (lest ye shulde be wyse in youre awne cōsaytes) that partly blyndnesse is happened vnto Israel, so longe tyll the fulnesse of the Heythen be come in,
11:26 And so all Israhel shalbe saved. as it is written: There shall come oute of Syon he that doth deliver/ and shall turne awaye the vngodlynes of Iacob. & so all Israel shalbe saved. As it is writtē: There shall come oute of Sion he yt doth delyver/ & shall turne awaye the vngodlynes of Iacob. & so all Israel shalbe saued. As it is writtē: There shall come oute of Syō he that doth deliuer/ & shall turne awaye the vngodlynes of Iacob. and so all Israel shalbe saued. As it is wrytten: There shal come out of Sion he that doth delyuer, and shal turne awaye vngodlynes from Iacob.
11:27 And this is my testamēt vnto them/ when I shall take awaye their synnes. And this is my covenaunt vnto them/ when I shall take awaye their synnes. And this is my couenaunt vnto them/ when I shall take awaye their synnes. And this is my couenaūt with them, whā I shal take awaye their synnes.
11:28 As concernynge the gospell/ They are enenies for youre sakes: but as tochynge the elecciō/ they are loved for the fathers sakſ. As cōcernynge the gospell/ they are enemies for youre sakes: but as touchinge the election/ they are loved for ye fathers sakſ. As cōcerning the gospell they are enemyes for youre sakes: but as touchinge the election they are loued for the fathers sakes. As concernynge the Gospell, I holde them as enemies for youre sakes: but as touchinge the eleccion, I loue them for the fathers sakes.
11:29 For verely the gyftes and callynge of god are soche/ that it cannot repent hym of them. For verely the gyftes and callynge of god are soche/ that it cannot repent him of them: For verely the gyftes and callinge of God are soche/ that it cannot repent him of them: For verely the giftes & callynge of God are soch, that it can not repente him of them.
11:30 for loke/ as ye in tyme passed have not beleved God/ yet have nowe obtained mercy thorow their vnbelefe: for loke/ as ye in tyme passed have not beleved God/ yet have now obtayned mercy thorow their vnbelefe: for loke/ as ye in tyme passed haue not beleued God/ yet haue now obtayned mercy thorow their vnbelefe: For likewyse as ye also in tyme passed haue not beleued, but now haue optayned mercy thorow their vnbeleue:
11:31 even so nowe have they nott beleved the mercy which is happened vnto you/ That they also maye obtayne mercy. even so now have they not beleved the mercy which is happened vnto you/ that they also maye obtayne mercy. euen so now haue they not beleued the mercy which is happened vnto you/ that they also maye obtayne mercy. Euen so now haue they not beleued on the mercy which his happened vnto you, that they also maye optayne mercy.
11:32 God hath wrapped all naciōs ī vnbeleve/ that he myght have mercy on all. God hath wrapped all nacions in vnbeleve/ that he myght have mercie on all. God hath wrapped all nacions in vnbeleue/ that he myght haue mercye on all. For God hath closed vp all vnder vnbeleue, that he mighte haue mercy on all.
11:33 O the depnes off the aboundaunt wisdom ād knowledge of God: howe incomprehensible are his iudgementſ/ and hys wayes vnserchable. O the depnes of the aboundaunt wysdome and knowledge of God: how vnserchable are his iudgementes/ and his wayes past findyng out. O the depnes of the aboundaunt wysdome & knowledge of God: how vnsercheable are his iudgementes/ and his wayes past findinge out? O the depenesse of the riches, both of the wyssdome and knowlege of God? How incomprehensible are his iudgmentes, and his wayes vnsearcheable?
11:34 For who hath knowen the mynde off the lorde? or who was his counseller? For who hath knowen the mynde of the lorde? or who was his counseller? For who hath knowen the mynde of the Lorde? or who was his counseller? For who hath knowne the mynde of the LORDE? Or who hath bene his councell geuer?
11:35 other who hathe geven vnto hym fyrst/ that he myght be recompensed agayne? other who hath geven vnto him fyrst/ that he myght be recompensed agayne? other who hath geuen vnto him fyrst/ that he might be recompensed agayne? Or who hath geuē him ought afore hande, that he mighte be recompenced agayne?
11:36 For of hym/ and thorowe hym/ ād vnto hym are all thyngſ. To hym be glory for ever Amen. For of him/ and thorow him/ and for him/ are all thinges To him be glorye for ever Amen. For of him/ and thorow him/ & for him are all thinges. To him be glorie for euer Amen. For of him, and thorow him, and in him are all thinges. To him be prayse for euer, Amen.
