19:1 ANd it folowed when Iesus had fynysshed those sayingſ/ he gat hym frō Galile/ and cam in to the coostſ off iewry beyonde Iordan/ ANd it came to passe/ when Iesus had fynisshed those sayinges/ he gat him from Galile/ and came into the coostes of Iewry beyonde Iordan/ ANd it came to passe/ when Iesus had fynisshed those sayinges/ he gat him from Galile/ and came into the coostes of Iewry beyonde Iordan/ ANd it came to passe, whā Iesus had ended these sayenges, he gat him frō Galile, & came ī to ye coastes of Iewry beyonde Iordane,
19:2 and moche people folowed hym/ and he healed thē theare. and moche people folowed him/ and he healed them theare. and moche people folowed him/ and he healed them there. & moch people folowed him, and he healed them there.
19:3 Then cam vnto hym the pharises to tempte hym/ and sayde to hym: Ys hit lawfull for a man to put a waye his wyfe for all manner off causes? Then came vnto him the pharises temtinge him/ and sayinge to him: Ys it lawfull for a man to put a waye his wyfe for all maner of causes? Then came vnto him the Pharises temtinge him/ & sayinge to him: Is it lawfull for a man to put awaye his wyfe for all maner of causes? Then came vnto him the Pharises & tēpted him, & sayde vnto him: Is it laufull for a man to put awaye his wife for eny maner of cause?
19:4 He answered/ and sayde vnto them Have ye not redde howe that he which made mā at the begynnynge/ made thē man and woman? He answered and sayd vnto them: Have ye not redde/ how that he which made man at the beginninge/ made them man and woman He answered and sayd vnto them: Haue ye not redde/ how that he which made man at the beginnynge/ made thē man and woman He answered & sayde vnto thē: Haue ye not red, how yt he which made (man) at the begynnynge, made thē mā & womā,
19:5 and saide for thys thīge/ shall a man leve father ād mother/ ād cleve vnto his wyfe/ ād they twane shalbe wō flesse. and sayde: for this thinge/ shall a mā leve father and mother and cleve vnto his wyfe/ & they twayne shalbe one flesshe. and sayde: for this thinge/ shall a man leue father & mother & cleue vnto his wyfe/ & they twayne shalbe one flesshe. & sayde: For this cause shal a mā leaue father & mother, & cleue vnto his wife, & they two shalbe one fleshe.
19:6 Wherfore nowe are they not twayne/ but wō fleshe. Let not mā therefore put asunð/ that which god hath cuppled to gedder. Wherfore now are they not twayne/ but one flesshe. Let not man therfore put a sunder/ that which God hath cuppled to gedder. Wherfore now are they not twayne/ but one flesshe. Let not man therfore put a sunder/ that which God hath cuppled to geder. Now are they not twayne then, but one flesh. Let not man therfore put a sunder, yt which God hath coupled together.
19:7 Thē sayde they to hym: why did Moses cōmaūde to geve vnto her a testimoniall of divorsemēt and to put her a waye? Then sayde they to him: why dyd Moses cōmaunde to geue a testimoniall of diuorsement and to put hir awaye? 19:8 He saide vnto them: Moses because of the hardnes of youre hertſ suffred you to put awaye youre wyfes: But from the begynnynge hit was nott so. He sayde vnto them: Moses because of the hardnes of youre hertes suffred you to put awaye youre wyfes: But from ye beginnynge it was not so. 19:9 I saye therefore vnto you/ whosoever putteth awaye his wyfe (except hit be for fornicaciō) and maryeth another/ breaked wedlocke. and whosoeṽ marieth her which is divorsed/ doeth commyt advoutry. I saye therfore vnto you/ whosoever putteth awaye his wyfe (except it be for fornicacion) & maryeth another/ breaketh wedlocke. And whosoever maryeth her which is divorsed/ doeth commyt advoutry. I saye therfore vnto you whosoeuer putteth awaye his wyfe (except it be for fornicacion) & maryeth another breaketh wedlocke. And whosoeuer maryeth her which is diuorsed/ doeth cōmyt aduoutry. But I saye vnto you: Whosoeuer putteth awaye his wife (excepte it be for fornicacion) and marieth another, breaketh wedlocke. And who so marieth her yt is deuorced, commytteth aduoutrye.
19:10 Then spake his disciples to hym: yff the matter be so betwene mā and wyfe/ thē is it not good to mary. Then sayde his disciples to him: yf the mater be so betwene man and wyfe/ then is it not good to mary. Then sayde his disciples to him: yf the mater be so betwene man and wyfe/ then is it not good to mary. Then sayde his disciples vnto him: Yf ye matter be so betwene mā and wife, thē is it not good to mary.
19:11 He sayde vnto them: all men can not awaye with that saynge: but they to whō it is gevē. He sayde vnto them: all mē can not awaye with that sayinge save they to whom it is gevē. He sayde vnto them: all men can not awaye with that sayinge saue they to whō it is geuen. But he sayde vnto them: All mē can not cōprehende yt sayenge, saue they to whō it is geuē.
19:12 There are chaste/ which were so borne out of the mothers belly. And there are chaste/ which be made of mē. And there be chaste/ which have made them selves chaste for the kyngdom off hevens sake. He that can take it lett hym take it. Ther are chaste/ which were so borne out of their mothers belly. And ther are chaste/ which be made of men. And ther be chaste/ which have made them selves chaste for the kyngdome of hevēs sake. He that can take it/ let him take it. Ther are chaste/ which were so borne out of their mothers belly. And ther are chaste/ which be made of men. And ther be chaste/ which haue made them selues chaste for the kyngdome of heuens sake. He that can take it/ let him take it. For there be some gelded, which are so borne from their mothers wombe: and there be some gelded, which are gelded of men: & there be some gelded, which haue gelded thē selues for the kyngdome of heauens sake. He that can cōprehende it, let him comprehende it.
19:13 Then were brought to hym yonge chyldren/ that he shulde put his hondſ on them and praye And his disciples rebuked thē. Then were brought to him yonge chyldrē/ that he shuld put his hondſ on them & praye And the disciples rebuked them. Then were brought to him yonge chyldren/ that he shuld put his hondes on them & praye. And the disciples rebuked them. Then were brought vnto him yōge children, yt he shulde put his hondes vpon thē, & praye. And ye disciples rebuked them.
19:14 Iesus sayde vnto them: suffre the chyldren/ and forbid them not to come to me/ ffor vnto suche belongeth the kīgdom̃ off heven. But Iesus sayde: suffre the chyldren and forbid them not to come to me: for of suche is the kyngdome of heven. But Iesus sayde: suffre the chyldren and forbid them not to come to me: for of suche is the kyngdome of heven. But Iesus sayde: Suffre ye childrē, & forbyd thē not to come vnto me, for vnto soch belōgeth the kyngdome of heauen.
19:15 And when he had put his hondſ on them/ he departed thence. And when he had put his hondes on them he departed thence. And when he had put his hondes on them he departed thence. And whā he had layed his hōdes vpō thē, he departed thēce.
19:16 And beholde won cā/ ād sayde vnto hym: good master/ what good thīge shall I do/ that I maye have eternal lyfe? And beholde one came & sayde vnto him: good master/ what good thinge shall I do/ that I maye have eternall lyfe? And beholde one came/ and sayde vnto him: good master/ what good thinge shall I do/ that I maye haue eternall lyfe? And beholde, one came vnto him, and sayde: Good master, what good shal I do, yt I maye haue the euer lastinge life?
19:17 He sayde vnto hī: why callest thou me good? there is none good but won/ ād that it god. But ād thou wilt entre ī to lyfe/ kepe the cōmaundmētſ. He sayde vnto him: why callest thou me good? there is none good but one/ & that is God. But yf thou wylt entre in to lyfe/ kepe the commaundementes. He sayde vnto him: why callest thou me good? there is none good but one/ & that is God. But yf thou wilt entre into lyfe/ kepe the cōmaundementes. He sayde vnto him: Why callest thou me good? there is none good, but God onely. Neuertheles yf thou wilt entre in to life, kepe ye cōmaūdemētes.
19:18 He sayde: Which? And Iesus sayde: thou shalt not kyll. thou shalt not breake wedloocke. Thou shalt not steale: thou shalt nott beare falce witnes. The other sayde to him/ Which? And Iesus sayde: breake no wedloke/ kill not/ steale not: beare not falce witnes: The other sayde to him: Which? And Iesus sayde: breake no wedlocke/ kyll not: steale not: beare not falce witnes: Thē sayde, he vnto him: Which? Iesus saide: Thou shalt not kyll: thou shalt not breake wedlocke: thou shalt not steale: thou shalt beare no false wytnes:
19:19 honoure thy father ād mother. ād thou shalt love thyne neghbour as thy sylfe: honoure father & mother: and love thyne neighbour as thy sylfe. honoure father and mother: and loue thyne neighbour as thy selfe. Honoure father and mother: and thou shalt loue thy neghboure as thy self.
19:20 the yonge man sayde vnto him: I have observed all these thīgſ from my youth/ what have y more to do? And the younge man sayde vnto him: I have observed all these thingis from my youth/ what lacke I yet? And the younge man sayde vnto him: I haue obserued all these thinges from my youth/ what lacke I yet? Then sayde the yonge mā vnto him: All these haue I kepte fro my youth vp: what lack I yet?
19:21 Iesus sayde vnto him: yf thou wilt be perfecte/ goo ād sell that thou hast/ ād geve it to the povre/ ād thou shalt have treasure ī hevē/ ād come and folowe me. And Iesus sayde vnto him yf thou wylt be perfecte/ goo & sell that thou hast/ & geve it to the povre/ & thou shalt have treasure in heven/ & come & folowe me. And Iesus sayde vnto him yf thou wilt be perfecte/ goo and sell that thou hast/ and geue it to the poore/ & thou shalt haue treasure in heuen/ and come and folowe me. Iesus sayde vnto him: Yf thou wilt be perfecte, go thy waye and sell that thou hast, & geue it vnto the poore, and thou shalt haue a treasure in heauen, and come and folowe me.
19:22 When the yonge mā herde that sayinge/ he went a waye morninge. For he had greate possessions. When ye younge mā hearde yt sayinge/ he wēt awaye mourninge. For he had greate possessions. When the younge man hearde that sayinge/ he went awaye mourninge. For he had greate possessions. Whan ye yonge man herde yt worde, he wente awaye sory, for he had greate possessions.
19:23 Iesus sayde thē vnto his disciples: Verely I saye vnto you/ a ryche mā shall with difficulte enter into the kyngdom̃ of hevē. Then Iesus sayde vnto his disciples: Verely I saye vnto you: yt is harde for a ryche mā to enter into ye kyngdome of heaven. Then Iesus sayde vnto his disciples: Verely I saye vnto you: it is harde for a ryche man to enter into the kyngdome of heauen. Iesus sayde vnto his disciples: Verely I saie vnto you: it shalbe harde for a rich man to entre in to the kyngdome of heauē.
19:24 And moreover I saye vnto you: it is easier for a camell to go through the eye of a nedle/ then for a ryche man to enter into the kingdom̃ of heven. And moreover I saye vnto you: it is easier for a camell to go through the eye of a nedle/ then for a ryche man to enter into the kyngdome of God. And moreouer I saye vnto you: it is easyer for a camell to go through the eye of a nedle/ then for a ryche man to enter into the kyngdome of God. And morouer I saye vnto you: It is easier for a Camell to go thorow the eye of a nedle, thē for a rich man to entre in to the kyngdome of heauen.
19:25 When his disciples herde that/ they were excedingly amased/ sayinge: who then can be saved? When his disciples hearde that/ they were excedingly amased/ sayinge: who then can be saved? 19:26 Iesus behelde them/ ād saide vnto them: with men this is vnpossyble/ but with god all thingſ are possyble. Neuertheles Iesus behelde them, and sayde vnto them: With men it is vnpossyble, but with God all thinges are possyble.
19:27 Then answered Peter/ and saide to him: Beholde we have forsaken all/ and have folowed the: what shall we have therfore? Then answered Peter/ and sayde to him: Beholde/ we have forsaken all & folowed the/ what shall we have? Then answered Peter/ and sayde to him: Beholde/ we haue forsaken all and folowed the/ what shall we haue? Then answered Peter & sayde vnto him: Beholde, we haue forsakē all, and folowed the: What shal we haue therfore?
19:28 Iesus sayde vnto them: verely I saye to you/ thatt ye which have folowed me in the seconde generaciō (whē the sonne off man shal syt in the seate of his maieste) shall syt also vppō xij seatſ/ and iudge the xij trybſ off Israhel. Iesus sayde vnto them: verely I saye to you: when the sonne of man shall syt in ye seate of his maieste/ ye which folowe me in ye seconde generacion shall syt also vpon .xii. seatſ/ & iudge ye .xii. tribſ of Israel. Iesus sayde vnto them: verely I saye to you: when the sonne of man shall syt in the seate of his maieste/ ye which folowe me in the seconde generacion shall syt also vpon xij. seates/ and iudge the .xij. tribes of Israel. Iesus sayde vnto thē: Verely I saye vnto you: that when the sonne of man shal sytt in the seate of his maiestye, ye which haue folowed me in the new byrth, shal syt also vpon twolue seates, and iudge ye twolue trybes of Israel.
19:29 Aud whosoever forsaketh housse/ or brethren/ or systers/ other father/ or mother/ or wyfe/ or children/ or lyvelod/ for my names sake/ the same shall receave an hundred folde/ and shall inheret everlastynge lyfe. And whosoever forsaketh housses/ or brethren/ or systers/ other father/ or mother/ or wyfe/ or chyldren/ or landes/ for my names sake/ ye same shall receave an hundred folde/ & shall inheret everlastynge lyfe. And whosoeuer forsaketh housses/ or brethren/ or systers/ other father/ or mother/ or wyfe/ or chyldren/ or landes/ for my names sake/ the same shall receaue an hundred folde/ and shall inheret euerlastynge lyfe. And who so euer forsaketh houses or brethrē, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or londes, for my names sake, the same shal receaue an hundreth folde, and inheret euerlastinge life.
19:30 Many that are fyrste shalbe laste/ and the laste shalbe ffyrste. Many that are fyrste shalbe laste/ & the laste shalbe fyrste. Many that are fyrste shalbe laste/ and the laste shalbe fyrste. But many that be the first, shalbe the last: and the last shalbe the first.
