9:1 And he sayde vnto thē: Verely I saye vnto you: There be some off them that stonde here/ which shall not taste of deeth/ tyll they have sene the kyngdom off God come with power. 9:2 ANd after .vj. dayes Iesus toke Peter/ Iames/ and Ihon and leede them vp in to an hye moūtayne out of the waye alone/ ād he was transfigured before them. ANd after .vi. dayes Iesus toke Peter/ Iames/ and Iohn and leede them vp into an hye mountayne out of ye waye alone/ and he was transfigured before them. ANd after .vj. dayes Iesus toke Peter/ Iames & Iohn/ & leede them vp into an hye mountayne out of the waye alone/ & he was transfigured before them. ANd after sixe dayes Iesus toke vnto him Peter, Iames and Ihon, and brought them vp in to an hye mountayne out of the waye alone, and was ttāsfigured before them,
9:3 And his rayment did shyne/ and was made very whyte/ even as snowe: so whyte as noo fuller cā make apon the erth. And his rayment dyd shyne/ and was made very whyte/ even as snowe: so whyte as noo fuller can make apon the erth. And his rayment dyd shyne/ and was made very whyte/ euen as snowe: so whyte as no fuller can make vpon the erth and his clothes were bright and very whyte as ye snowe, so whyte as no fuller can make vpon earth.
9:4 And there apered vnto them Helyas with Moses: And they talked with Iesu. And ther apered vnto them Helyas with Moses: and they talked with Iesu. And ther apered vnto them Helyas with Moses: and they talked with Iesu. And there appeared vnto thē Elias with Moses, and they talked with Iesus.
9:5 And Peter answered and sayde to Iesu: Master/ here is good beinge for vs/ let vs make .iij. tabernacles/ one for the/ one for Moses/ ād one for Helyas. And Peter answered & sayde to Iesu: Master/ here is good beinge for vs/ let vs make .iii. tabernacles/ one for the/ one for Moses/ and one for Helyas. And Peter answered and sayde to Iesu: Master here is good beinge for vs/ let vs make .iij. tabernacles one for the/ one for Moses/ and one for Helyas. And Peter answered, and sayde vnto Iesus: Rabbi, here is good beynge for vs. Let vs make thre tabernacles: one for the, one for Moses, and one for Elias.
9:6 And wist not what he sayde. For they were afrayde. And yet he wist not what he sayde: for they were afrayde. And yet he wist not what he sayde: for they were afrayde. For he knewe not what he sayde, and they were very fearfull.
9:7 And there was a cloude that shaddowed them. And a voyce cam out of the cloude saynge: This ys my dere sonne/ here hym. And ther was a cloude that shaddowed thē. And a voyce came out of the cloude sayinge: This is my dere sonne/ here him. And ther was a cloude that shaddowed them. And a voyce came out of the cloude sayinge: This is my deare sonne/ heare him. And there was a cloude, which ouershadowed thē. And out of the cloude there came a voyce, and sayde: This is my deare sonne, heare him.
9:8 And sodenly/ they loked rounde aboute them/ and sawe no mā more/ but Iesus only. And sodenly/ they loked rounde aboute them/ & sawe no man more then Iesus only wt thē. And sodenly/ they loked rounde aboute them/ and sawe no man more then Iesus only with them. And immediatly they loked aboute them, and sawe noman more then Iesus onely with them.
9:9 As they cam doune from the hill/ he charged them/ that they shulde tell no mā what they had sene/ tyll the sonne of man were risen from deeth agayne. And as they came doune from the hyll/ he charged thē/ that they shuld tell no mā what they had sene/ tyll the sonne of man were rysen frō deeth agayne. And as they came doune from the hyll/ he charged them/ that they shulde tell no man what they had sene tyll the sonne of mā were rysen from deeth agayne. But whan they wente downe from the mountayne, Iesus charged them, that they shulde tell no man what they had sene, tyll the sonne of man were rysen agayne from the deed.
9:10 And they kepte that saynge with in thē/ and demaunded won of another/ what that rysinge frō deeth agayne shulde meane? And they kepte that sayinge with them/ & demaunded one of a nother/ what yt rysinge from deeth agayne shuld meane? And they kepte that sayinge with them/ & demaunded one of another/ what that rysinge from deeth agayne shuld meane? And they kepte that sayenge by them, and axed one another: What is that rysinge agayne from the deed?
9:11 And they axed hym sayinge: why then saye the scribſ/ that Helyas muste fyrste come? And they axed him sayinge: why then saye ye scribſ/ that Helyas muste fyrste come? And they axed him sayinge: why then saye the Scribes/ that Helyas muste fyrst come? And they axed him, and sayde: Why saye the scrybes then, that Elias must first come?
9:12 He āswered and sayde vnto thē: Helyas at his fyrste cōmynge/ shall brynge all thyngſ agayne into good order: And even so ys it wrytten off the sonne off man/ that he shall suffre many thinges/ and shall be set att nought. He answered & sayde vnto them: Helyas verelye shall fyrst come and restore all thinges. And also ye sonne of mā as it is wryttē/ shall suffre many thinges/ & shall be set at nought. He answered & sayde vnto thē: Helyas verely shall fyrst come and restore all thinges. And also the sonne of man as it is wrytten/ shall suffre many thinges and shalbe set at nought. He answered and sayde vnto them: Elias shal come first in dede, and brynge all thinges to right agayne. The sonne of man also shal suffre many thinges, and be despysed, as it is wrytten.
9:13 And I saye vnto you/ thatt Helyas ys come/ ād they have done vnto hym whatsoever pleased them/ as it is wrytten off hym. Moreouer I saye vnto you/ that Helyas is come/ and they have done vnto him whatsoever pleased them as it is wrytten of him. Moreouer I saye vnto you that Helias is come/ and they haue done vnto him whatsoeuer pleased thē/ as it is wrytten of him. But I saye vnto you: Elias is come, and they haue done vnto him what they wolde, acordinge as it is wrytten of him?
9:14 And he cam to his disciples/ and sawe moche people aboute them/ and the scribes disputinge with them. 9:17 And won of the cōpanye answered and sayde: Master/ I have brought my sonne vnto the/ which hath a dom spirite/ And one of the cōpanye answered & sayde: Master/ I have brought my sonne vnto the/ which hath a dōme spirite. And one of the cōpanye answered & sayde: Master/ I haue brought my sonne vnto the/ which hath a domme sprite. And one of the people answered, and sayde: Master, I haue brought vnto the my sonne, which hath a domme sprete:
9:18 And whensoever he taketh hym/ he teareth hym/ and he fometh/ and gnassheth with his tethe/ and pyneth awaye. And I spake to thy disciples that they shulde caste hym out/ and they coulde nott. And whensoever he taketh him/ he teareth him/ and he fometh/ & gnassheth with his tethe/ & pyneth awaye. And I spake to thy disciples that they shuld caste him out/ and they coulde not. And whensoeuer he taketh him/ he teareth him/ & he fometh/ & gnassheth with his tethe/ and pineth awaye. And I spake to thy disciples that they shuld caste him out/ and they coulde not. and whan so euer he taketh him, he teareth him, and he fometh, and gnassheth with the teth, and pyneth awaye, & I haue spoken to thy disciples that they shulde cast him out, and they coude not.
9:19 He answered hī ād sayd: O generaciō without faight/ howe lōge shall y be with you. Howe lōge shall y suffre you? brīge him vnto me. He answered him & sayd: O generacion wt out faith how longe shall I be with you? How longe shall I suffre you? Bringe him vnto me. He answered him and sayde: O generacion without fayth/ how longe shall I be with you? How longe shall I suffre you? Bringe him vnto me. He answered him, and sayde: O thou vnfaithfull generacion, how longe shal I be with you? How longe shal I suffre you? Brynge hī hither to me.
9:20 And they brought hī vnto hī. And as sone as the sprete sawe him/ he tare him. And he fell doune on the groūde walowinge: And fomynge. And they brought him vnto him. And assone as ye sprete sawe him/ he tare him. And he fell doune on the grounde walowinge and fomynge. And they brought him vnto him. And assone as the sprete sawe him/ he tare him. 9:21 And he axed his father: howe longe is it a goo/ sens this hath happened hym? And he sayde/ of a chylde. And he axed his father: how longe is it a goo/ sens this hath happened him? 9:22 And ofte tymes casteth hym in to the fyre/ and also in to the water/ to destroye hym. Butt yff thou canste do eny thynge/ have mercy on vs/ and helppe vs. & ofte tymes casteth him into the fyre/ & also into the water/ to destroye him. But yf thou canste do eny thinge/ have mercy on vs/ and helpe vs. & ofte tymes casteth him into the fyre/ & also into the water/ to destroye him. But yf thou canst do eny thinge/ haue mercy on vs/ and helpe vs. and oft tymes hath he cast him in to the fyre and water, to destroye him: but yf thou canst do enythinge, haue mercy vpon vs, and helpe vs.
9:23 Iesus sayde vnto hī: ye yf thou couldest beleve/ all thyngſ are possyble to hym that belevith. And Iesus sayde vnto him: ye yf thou couldest beleve/ all thinges are possible to him yt belevith. And Iesus sayde vnto him: ye yf thou couldest beleue/ all thinges are possible to him that beleuith. Iesus sayde vnto him: Yf thou couldest beleue: All thinges are possible vnto him that beleueth.
9:24 And streyght waye the father off the chylde cryed with teares sayinge: Lorde I beleve/ sucker myne vnbelefe. And streygth waye the father of the chylde cryed with teares sayinge: Lorde I beleve/ helpe myne vnbelefe. And streygth waye the father of the chylde cryed with teares sayinge: Lorde I beleue/ helpe myne vnbelefe. And immediatly the father of the childe cried with teares, and sayde: LORDE I beleue: O helpe thou myne vnbeleue.
9:25 When Iesus sawe that the people cam runnynge togedder vnto hym/ he rebuked the foule sprete/ sayinge vnto hym: Thou dom and deffe sprete/ I charge the come out of hym/ and entre no more in to hym. When Iesus sawe/ that the people came runnynge togedder vnto him/ he rebuked the foule sprete/ sayinge vnto him: Thou domme & deffe sprete/ I charge the come out of him/ and entre no more into him. When Iesus sawe that the people came rūninge together vnto him/ he rebuked the foulle sprete/ sayinge vnto him: Thou dōme and deffe sprite/ I charge the come oute of him/ & entre no more into him. Now whan Iesus sawe that the people ranne to, he rebuked the foule sprete, and sayde vnto him: Thou domme and deaf sprete, I charge the, departe out of him, and entre nomore in to him from hence forth.
9:26 And the sprete cryed/ ād rent him sore/ and cam out: And he was as won that had bene deed/ in so moche that many sayde/ he is deed. And the sprete cryed/ & rent him sore/ and came out: And he was as one that had bene deed/ in so moche yt many sayde/ he is deed. And the sprite cryed/ and rent him sore/ and came out: And he was as one that had bene deed/ in so moche that many sayde/ he is deed. And he cried, and rent him sore, and departed. And he was as though he had bene deed, in so moch that many sayde: he is deed.
9:27 Butt Iesus caught hys honde/ and lyfte hym vpp/ and he roose. But Iesus caught his honde/ and lyfte him vp: and he roose. But Iesus caught his honde and lyfte him vp: & he rose. But Iesus toke him by the hande, and set him vp. And he arose.
9:28 And when he was come in to the housse/ his disciples axed him secretly: why coulde nott we caste hym out? 9:29 And he sayde vnto them: thys kynde can by no nother meanes come forth/ but by prayer and fastynge. 9:31 For he taught hys disciples/ and sayde vnto them: The sonne off man shalbe delyvered in to the hondſ off men/ and they shall kyll hym/ and after that he ys kylled he shall aryse agayne the thryd daye. For he taught his disciples/ and sayde vnto them: The sonne of man shalbe delyvered into ye hondes of men/ and they shall kyll him/ and after that he is kylled he shall aryse agayne the thryd daye. 9:37 Whosoever receave eny soche a chylde ī my name/ he receaveth me: And whosoever receaveth me/ receaveth not me/ but him that sent me. And whosoeuer receaueth me/ receaueth not me/ but him that sent me. Who so euer receaueth soch a childe in my name, receaueth me: and who so euer receaueth me, receaueth not me, but him that hath sent me.
9:38 Ihon answered him/ sayinge: master/ we sawe won castinge out devyls in thy name/ which foloweth not vs/ and we forbade hym/ because he foloweth vs nott. Iohn answered him sayinge: Master/ we sawe one castynge out devyls in thy name/ which foloweth not vs/ and we forbade him/ because he foloweth vs not. Ihon answered him, and sayde: Master, we sawe one dryue out deuels in thy name, but he foloweth not vs, and we forbad him because he foloweth vs not.
9:39 But Iesus sayde: forbid hym nott. For there ys no mā that shall do a myracle in my name/ and can speake lightly evyll of me. But Iesus sayde forbid him not. For ther is no mā that shall do a miracle in my name/ that can lightlyge speake evyll of me. But Iesus sayde forbid him not. For ther is no mā that shall do a myracle in my name/ that can lightlye speake euyll of me. But Iesus sayde: Forbyd him not: for there is no mā that doth a myracle in my name, and can soone speake euell of me.
9:40 Whosoever is not agaynste you/ is on youre parte. Whosoever is not agaynste you/ is on youre parte. Whosoeuer is not agaynst you/ is on youre parte. For who so euer is not agaynst vs, the same is for vs.
9:41 And whosoever shall geve you a cuppe off water to drinke for my nams sake be cause ye are belongynge to christe/ verely I saye vnto you/ he shall nott loose his rewarde. And whosoever shall geve you a cuppe of water to drinke for my names sake/ because ye belonge to Christe/ verely I saye vnto you/ he shall not loose his rewarde. And whosoeuer shall geue you a cuppe of water to drinke for my names sake/ because ye belonge to Christe/ verely I saye vnto you/ he shall not loose his rewarde. And who so euer geueth you a cuppe of water to drynke in my name, because ye belonge vnto Christ, verely I saye vnto you: he shal not lose his rewarde.
9:42 And whosoever shall hourte wō of this litell wons/ that beleve in me/ it were better for him/ that a myll stone were hanged aboute his necke/ and that he were cast in to the see. And whosoever shall offende one of these lytelons/ yt beleve in me/ it were better for him/ yt a mylstone were hanged aboute his necke/ & yt he he were cast into ye see: And whosoeuer shall offende one of these lytelons/ that beleue in me/ it were better for him/ that a mylstone were hanged aboute his necke/ & that he were cast into the see. And who so offendeth one of these litle ones that beleue in me, it were better for him, that a mylstone were hāged aboute his neck, and he cast in to the see.
9:43 And yf thy hāde offende the/ cut hym of. Itt ys better for the/ to entre into lyffe maymed/ thē to goo/ with two hondſ in to hell/ ī to fire that never shalbe quenched/ wherfore yf thy hande offende ye/ cut him of. It is better for ye/ to entre into lyffe maymed/ then havynge two hondes/ goo into hell/ into fire yt never shalbe quenched/ Wherfore yf thy hande offende the/ cut him of. It is better for the/ to entre into lyfe maymed/ thē hauynge two hondes go into hell/ into fyre that neuer shalbe quēched/ Yf thy hāde offende the, cut him of. Better it is for the to entre in to life lame, thē hauynge two hondes to go in to hell in to the euerlastinge fyre,

9:45 And yf thy fote offende the/ cut hym of. It is better for the to goo halt in to lyfe/ then with ij. fete to be cast into hell/ into fyre that never shalbe quenched: Lykewyse yf thy fote offende the/ cut him of. For it is better for the to goo halt into lyfe/ then havynge two fete to be cast into hell/ into fyre that never shalbe quenched: Lykewyse yf thy fote offende the/ cut him of. 9:47 And yf thyne eye offende the plucke hym oute. Itt ys better for the to goo in to the kyngdō of god with one eye/ then havynge two eyes to be caste into hell fyre: Even so yf thyne eye offende the/ plucke him oute. It is better for the to goo into the kyngdom of god with one eye/ then havynge two eyes/ to be caste into hell fyre: Euen so yf thyne eye offende the/ plucke him oute. It is better for the to go into the kyngdome of God with one eye/ then hauinge two eyes to be cast into hell fyre: Yf thine eye offende the, cast him from the. Better it is for the to entre in to ye kyngdome of God with one eye, then hauynge two eyes to be cast in to the fyre of hell:
9:48 where their worme dyeth nott/ and the fyre never goeth oute. where there worme dyeth not/ & the fyre never goeth oute. where there worme dyeth not/ & the fyre neuer goeth oute. where their worme dyeth not, and their fyre goeth not out.
9:49 Every man therfore shalbe salted with fyre: And every sacryfyse shalbe seasoned with saltt. Every man therfore shalbe salted wt fyre: And every sacrifise shalbe seasoned with salt. Euery man therfore shalbe salted with fyre. And euery sacrifice shalbe seasoned with salt. For euery mā must be salted wt fyre, & euery offerynge shalbe seasoned wt salt.
9:50 Salt ys good. But yf the salt be vnsavery: what shall ye salte there with? Se that ye have saltt in youre selves. And have peace amonge youre selves/ one with another. Salt is good. But yf ye salt be vnsavery: what shall ye salte therwith? Se yt ye have salt in youre selves: & have peace amonge youre selves/ one with another. Salt is good. But yf the salt be vnsauery/ what shall ye salte therwith? Se that ye haue salt in youre selues: & haue peace amonge youre selues/ one with another. The salt is good: but yf ye salt be vnsauery, wherwith all shal it be salted? Haue salt in you, & peace amonge yor selues one with another.
