9:1 THē called he the .xij. to gether/ ād gave thē power/ ād auctorite/ over all devyls. And that they myght heale diseases. THen called he the .xii. to gether/ & gave them power/ and auctorite over all devyls/ and that they myght heale diseases. And he sayd to them: Take nothinge to sucker you by the waye: nether staffe/ nor scripe/ nether breed/ nether money/ nether haue twoo cotes. and sayde vnto them: Ye shal take nothinge with you by the waye, nether staff, ner scryppe, ner bred, ner money: ner haue two coates.
9:4 And watsoever housse ye enter into there abyde/ and thence departe. And whatsoever housse ye enter into/ there abyde & thence departe. And whatsoever housse ye enter into there abyde & thence departe. And into what house so euer ye entre, there abyde, tyll ye go thence.
9:5 And whosoever will not receave you/ whē ye departe from that citie/ shake of the very dust from youre fete/ for a testimony agaynst them. And whosoever will not receave you/ when ye go out of that cite/ shake of the very dust from youre fete/ for a testimony agaynst them. And whosoeuer will not receaue you/ when ye go out of that cite/ shake of the very dust from youre fete/ for a testimony agaynst them. And who so euer receaue you not, departe out of the same cite, and shake of the dust from youre fete, for a wytnesse ouer them.

9:9 And Herod sayde: Ihon have y behedded: who is this of whom I here suche thynges? And he desired to se hym. And Herod sayde: Iohn have I behedded: who then is this of whom I heare suche thinges? And he desyred to se him. And Herod sayde: Iohn haue I behedded: who then is this of whom I heare suche thinges? And he desyred to se him. And Herode sayde: Ihō haue I beheaded, who is this then, of whō I heare soch thinges? And he desyred to se him.
9:10 And the Apostles retourned/ and tolde hym all that they had done. And he toke them and went a syde into a solitary place/ neye to a citie called Bethsaida. 9:11 The people knewe off it/ and folowed hym. And he receaved them/ and spake vnto them of the kyngdom off God. And healed them that had nede to be healed. And ye people knewe of it/ and folowed him. And he receaved them/ and spake vnto them of the kyngdome of God/ and healed them that had nede to be healed. And the people knewe of it/ & folowed him. 9:12 The daye begā to weare awaye. Then cam the twelve/ and sayde vnto hym: sende the people awaye/ that they maye goo into the tounes/ and villages round about/ and lodge/ and get meate/ for we are here in a place of wildernes. And when ye daye beganne to weare awaye/ then came the twelve and sayde vnto him: sende ye people awaye/ that they maye goo into the tounes & villages roundabout/ and lodge/ and get meate/ for we are here in a place of wyldernes. 9:13 Then sayd he vnto thē: Geve ye them meate. And they sayde: We have no moo but five loves and two fisshes/ except we shuld goo and bye meate for all this people. But he sayde vnto them: Geve ye thē to eate. And they sayde. We have no moo but fyve loves and two fisshes/ except we shuld goo and bye meate for all this people. 9:14 And they wer about a five thousandde men. He sayde vnto his disciples: Cause them to sit doune by fyftie in a company. And they were about a fyve thousand men. And he sayde to his disciples: Cause them to syt doune by fyfties in a company. And they were about a fyue thousand men. And he sayde to his disciples: Cause them to syt doune by fyfties in a company. (for there were vpon a fyue thousande men) But he sayde vnto his disciples: Cause them to syt downe by fifties in a cōpany.
9:15 And they did soo/ and made thē all sit doune. And they dyd soo/ & made them all syt doune. And they dyd soo/ & made them all syt doune. And they dyd so, and made them all to syt downe.
9:16 He toke the five loves/ and the two fisshes/ and loked vp to heven/ and blessed them/ and brake/ and gave to his disciples/ to sett before the people. Then toke he the fyue loaues and two fisshes, and loked vp towarde heauē, and sayde grace ouer them, brake them, and gaue them to the disciples, to set thē before the people.
9:17 And they all ate/ and wer satisfied. And there was taken vp off thatt remayned to them/ twelve baskettes full off broken meate. And they ate/ and were all satisfied. And ther was taken vp of that remayned to thē/ twelve baskettes full of broken meate. And they ate/ & were all satisfied. And there was taken vp of that remayned to them/ twelue baskettes full of broken meate. And they ate, and were all satisfied. 9:18 Hit fortuned as he was alone prayinge/ hys disciples were with hym/ and he axed them sayinge Who saye the people that I am? 9:19 They answered and sayd: Ihon baptist. Some saye Helias. And some saye/ won of the olde prophetſ is risen agayne. They answered & sayd: Iohn Baptist. Some saye Helyas. And some saye/ one of the olde prophetſ is rysen agayne. They answered & sayd: Iohn Baptist: Some saye Helyas. And some saye/ one of the olde prophetes is rysen agayne. They answered, and sayde: They saye, thou art Ihon the baptist: Some, that thou art Elias: Some, that one of the olde prophetes is rysen agayne.
9:20 He sayde vnto them: Who saye ye that I am? Peter answered and sayde: thou arte the Christ off God. He sayde vnto thē: Who saye ye that I am? Peter answered and sayde: thou arte the Christ of god. He sayde vnto thē who saye ye that I am? Peter answered & sayde: thou arte the Christ of god. But he sayde vnto them: Whom saye ye that I am? Then answered Peter and sayde: Thou art the Christ of God.
9:21 He warned and commaūded them/ that they shulde tell no man that thinge/ And he warned & commaunded them/ that they shuld tell no man yt thinge And he warned & commaūded them that they shuld tell no mā that thinge And he charged them strately, and commaunded them, that they shulde tell this vnto no mā,
9:22 sayinge: That the sonne off man must suffre many thyngſ/ and be reproved of the seniours/ and of the hy prestes and scribes/ and be slayne/ and the thirde daye rise agayne. sayinge: that the sonne of man must suffre many thinges/ and be reproved of the elders/ and of the hye prestes and scribes/ & be slayne/ and the thirde daye ryse agayne. sayinge: that the sonne of man must suffre many thinges/ and be reproued of the elders/ and of the hye prestes and scribes & be slayne/ and the thirde daye ryse agayne. and sayde: For the sonne of man must suffre many thinges, and be cast out of the Elders and of ye hye prestes, and scrybes, and be put to death, and ryse agayne the thirde daye.
9:23 And he sayde to them all/ yf eny man will come after me/ let hym denye hym silfe/ and take his crosse on hym dayly/ ād folowe me. 9:24 Whosoever will save his life/ shall lose it. And whosoever shall lose his life/ for my sake/ the same shall save it. Whosoever will save his lyfe/ shall lose it. And who soever shall lose his lyfe for my sake/ the same shall save it. Whosoeuer will saue his lyfe/ shall lose it. And whosoeuer shall lose his lyfe for my sake/ the same shall saue it. For who so euer wil saue his life, shal lose it. But who so loseth his life for my sake, shal saue it.
9:25 For what shall itt avauntage a man/ to wyn the whole worlde/ yff he loose hym silfe: or runne in domage off hym silfe? For what avauntageth it a man/ to wynne the whole worlde/ yf he loose him sylfe or runne in domage of him sylfe? For what auauntageth it a man to wynne the whole worlde/ yf he loose him sylfe or rūne in domage of him sylfe? For what auauntage hath a man, though he wanne the whole worlde, and loseth himself, or runneth in dammage of himself?
9:26 For whosoever is ashamed of me/ and off my sayinges: off hym shall the sonne of man be ashamed/ when he cōmeth ī his awne maieste/ ād ī the maieste of his father/ and of the holy angels. For whosoever is ashamed of me/ and of my sayinges: of him shall the sonne of man be ashamed/ when he cometh in his awne glorie/ & in the glorie of his father/ and of the holy angels. For whosoeuer is ashamed of me/ and of my sayinges: of him shall the sonne of man be ashamed/ when he cometh in his awne glorie/ and in the glorie of his father/ and of the holy angels. Who so is ashamed of me and of my sayenges, of him shall the sonne of mā also be ashamed, whan he commeth in his glory, and in the glory of his father, and of the holy angels.
9:27 I tell you of a surety: Some there are of them thatt here stonde/ which shall not tast of derth till they se the kyngdom of God. And I tell you of a surety: There be some of thē yt stonde here/ which shall not tast of deeth/ tyll they se ye kyngdome of god. And I tell you of a surety: There be some of them that stonde here/ which shall not tast of deeth/ tyll they se the kyngeome of god. I saye vnto you of a treuth: there be some of them that stonde here, which shall not taist of death, tyll they se the kyngdome of God.
9:28 And it folowed about an viij. dayes after thoose sayingſ/ he toke Peter/ Iames/ and Ihon/ ād went vp into a mountayne to praye. And it folowed about an .viii. dayes after thoose sayinges/ that he toke Peter/ Iames/ & Iohn/ & went vp into a moūtayne to praye. And it folowed about an .viii. dayes after thoose sayinges/ that he toke Peter/ Iames/ & Iohn & went vp into a moūtayne to praye. And it fortuned, that aboute an eight dayes after these wordes, he toke vnto him Peter, Ihon and Iames, and wente vp in to a moūt for to praye.
9:29 And as he prayed/ the fassiō of his countenaunce was changed/ ād his garment was whyte/ and shoone. And as he prayed/ ye facion of his countenaunce was changed/ and his garment was whyte and shoone. And as he prayed/ the fassyō of his countenaūce was chaunged/ & his garment was whyte & shoone. And as he prayed, the shappe of his countenaunce was chaunged of another fashion, and his garment was whyte, and shyned:
9:30 And beholde/ two men talked with him/ and they were Moses ād Helias/ And beholde/ two men talked wt him/ and they were Moses & Helyas/ And beholde/ two men talked with him/ and they were Moses and Helyas/ and beholde, two men talked with him, Which were Moses and Elias,
9:31 which apered gloriously/ and spake of his departinge/ whych he shulde ende att Ierusalem. which appered gloriously/ and spake of his departinge/ which he shuld ende at Ierusalem. which appered gloriously/ and spake of his departinge/ which he shuld ende at Ierusalem. that appeared gloriously, and spake of his departynge, which he shulde fulfill at Ierusalem.
9:32 Peter and they that wer with hym/ wer hevy a slepe. And when they woke/ they sawe his maieste/ and two men stondinge with him. Peter and they that were with him/ were hevy with slepe. 9:33 And hit chaūsed as they departed from hym/ Peter sayde vnto Iesus: Master/ it is goode beinge here for vs. Let vs make thre tabernacles/ won for the/ and won for Moses/ and won for Helias. And wist nott what he sayde. And it chaunsed as they departed frō him/ Peter sayde vnto Iesus: Master/ it is good beinge here for vs. Let vs make thre tabernacles/ one for the/ and one for Moses/ & one for Helyas: and wist not what he sayde. 9:34 Whyll he thus spake there cam a cloude ād shadowed thē and they feared when they entred into the cloude. Whyll he thus spake/ ther came a cloude and shadowed them: & they feared when they were come vnder the cloude. Whyll he thus spake/ there came a cloude and shadowed them and they feared when they were come vnder the cloude. But whyle he thus spake, there came a cloude, and ouershadowed them. And they were afrayed, whan the cloude couered them.
9:35 And there cam a voyce out of the cloude sayinge: This is my deare sonne/ heare hym. And ther came a voyce out of the cloude sayinge: This is my deare sonne/ heare him. And there came a voyce out of the cloude sayinge: This is my deare sonne heare him. And out of the cloude there came a voyce, which sayde: This is my deare sonne, heare him.
9:36 And as sone as the voice was past/ Iesus was founde alone. And they kept it cloosse/ and tolde noo mā in thoose dayes eny of those thyngſ/ which they had sene. 9:41 Iesus answered/ and sayde: O generacion with oute fayth/ and croked: howe longe shall I be with you? And shall suffre you? Brynge thy sonne hidder. 9:42 As he yett was a commynge/ the fende rent hym/ and tare hym. Iesus rebuked the vnclene sprete/ and healed the chylde/ and delivered hym to hys father. As he yet was a cōminge/ the fende rēt him & tare him. And Iesus rebuked ye vnclene sprete/ & healed the childe/ & delivered him to his father. 9:43 And they wer all amased att the myghty power of God. Whyll they wondred every one att all thyngſ whych he did: He sayde vnto hys disciples: And they were all amased at ye mighty power of God. 9:44 Lett these sayingſ synke doune into youre eares. The tyme wyll come/ when the sonne off man shalbe delivered into the hondes off men. Let these sayinges synke doune into youre eares. 9:45 Butt they wist nott what that worde meant/ and yt was hyd from them thatt they vnderstod hytt nott. And they feared to axe hym off that sayinge. But they wist not what yt worde meant/ & yt was hyd frō thē/ that they vnderstode yt not. And they feared to axe him of that sayinge. But they wist not what that worde meāt/ & it was hyd from them/ that they vnderstode it not. And they feared to axe him of that sayinge But they wyst not what that worde meaned, and it was hyd from them, that they vnderstode it not. And they were afrayed to axe him of that worde.
9:46 There arose a disputacion amonge them/ who shulde be the greatest. Then ther arose a disputacion amōge thē: who shuld be the greatest. Then ther arose a disputacion amōge them who shuld be the greatest. There came a thought also amonge them, which of them shulde be the greatest.

9:48 and sayde vnto them: Whosoever receave thys chylde in my name/ receaveth me. And whosoever receaveth me/ receaveth hym that sent me. For he that amongest you/ ys the least/ the same shalbe greate. & sayd vnto thē: Whosoever receaveth this chylde in my name/ receaveth me. And whosoever receaveth me/ receaveth him yt sent me. For he yt is least amonge you all/ the same shalbe greate. & sayd vnto thē Whosoeuer receaueth this chylde in my name/ receaueth me. And whosoeuer receaueth me/ receaueth him that sent me. For he that is least amonge you all/ the same shalbe greate. and sayde vnto them? Whosoeuer receaueth this childe in my name, receaueth me: and who so euer receaueth me, receaueth him that sent me. But who so is leest amōge you all, ye same shal be greate.

9:50 And Iesus sayde vnto hym: forbid ye hym not. For he that is nott agaynst you/ is with you. And Iesus sayde vnto him: forbyd ye him not. For he that is not agaynst vs/ is wt vs. And Iesus sayde vnto him: forbyd ye him not. For he that is not agaynst vs/ is with vs And Iesus saide vnto him: Forbyd him not, for he that is not agaynst vs, is for vs.
9:51 And it folowed whē the time was com that he shulde be receaved vp that he determined hym silfe to goo to Ierusalem: And it folowed when the tyme was come yt he shulde be receaved vp/ then he set his face to goo to Hierusalem/ And it folowed when the tyme was come that he shulde be receaued vp/ then he set his face to goo to Hierusalem/ & sent messengers before him. And it fortuned whan the tyme was fulfylled that he shulde be receaued vp from hence, he turned his face to go straight to Ierusalem,
9:52 ād sent messengers before hym. And they went/ and ētred into a citie of the samaritans to make redy for hym. & sent messengers before him.
